starting captain america and x-men

Hi, i would like to start reading Captain America and X-Men but i don't really know were to start .

With Captain America, I'd recommend the entirety of writer Ed Brubaker's current run. There's an Omnibus that has the first 25 issues, I think. The current storyline essentially begins in #26, so you could probably pick up back issues on ebay or something from 26-up (it's on around 38 right now).

With X-Men, the only ones I buy are the just-completed run on Astonishing X-Men by Joss Whedon and John Cassaday - issues 1-24 plus a just-published Giant Size issue that concludes it. I'd recommend it, probably available in trades or on ebay.
