when Trinity ends

For me

I think I said it before

DETECTIVE COMICS- Differnt detetive arts throught the series, spotlight the detective and mystery men of DC, maybe connecte all the Arcs in one big seven Solider like mystery if you want. Focusing on various detectivs. Like the now Ghost Detetive Team of the Digbys, Question, Sam Bradly, Batman. Human gordon, and others.Target, Dectective Chimp, The Riddler, That skeptic Doctor guy and his Goth Daughter (think Doctor 13 was his name), Martian Manhunter, Commsionor

Each story could focuse on a differnt guy, maybe create some more. Maybe with a few that consider the main protaganist throughot. Heck hone character detective skills that normal dont use. IT time for the Superman and wife t show there reporting skills

If Earth 2 is still around, I think a weekly mini about it's history, starting around 1938 (when the golden-age Superman first appeared) to today would be interesting.

You could see how real-world history had been affected by superheroes over the last 70 years (Superman foiling the JFK assassination, Batman & Robin getting involved with the Watergate scandal, etc.)

The plusses to this are that there's plenty of story potential there and there'll be no chance of it screwing up mainstream continuity like (Countdown did)due to everything being set on a separate earth.

I know we're close to getting it, but I liked the Supes titles when you had to buy one every week to get the whole story. I'd really like to see that come back with either Superman or, heck, Batman.

Bi-weekly is the most I can handle. Weekly is too often for me.

52-esque in that characters that aren't featured regularly in the DCU get shown.

If I could pick, I'd have Zatanna appear; she'd be a good strong character to draw in readers. Perhaps some Bloodlines characters like Edge, Hitman, Ballistic, Geist, Livewire. It'd be nice to see them pop up once or twice.

You could even make the aliens that created the Bloodlines characters the threat.

And more Oolong Island! You can never get too much Oolong.

Earth gets too much screentime. Do a spacebound series. I saw somewhere on here a sugestion that DC do a series featuring guys like LEGION, Adam Strange, and the Omega Men. Throw in the Space Cabbie, Lobo, and maybe some of the GLs that t zero screen time, like Mogo and G'Nort, and I'd buy it in an instant.

There should not be one. TRINITY is strike three.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Brave and the Bold or perhaps Showcase- a weekly title that would have different characters whose stories DON'T necessarily all tie together. They optionally could, but it wouldn't be necessary. You don't have to worry about exhausting a single creative team and the stories wouldn't have to be in any distinct continuity outside the title.

Assuming they make one (and it seems likely, given that weekies tend to sell well these days) I think I'd like one that goes around the Multiverse. There could be an over-arcing plot, sure, but the main focus would be to definitely see what the other worlds are like and definitively set in stone what's out there.

I can see Countdown counting as a strike, but 52? And Trinity's only two issues in. Little early to be calling the whole series a bust, don't ya think?

Either way, that Earth-2 idea from the second post sounds kinda cool.

Part of me thinks they should just shelf the whole Wildstorm universe line for the time being, and turn it into a weekly book.

DC doesn't have to worry about screwing up continuity if they're just focusing on a seperate universe (though I suppose they're still going to screw up WIldstorom continutity).

Something that gives us weekly stories of the JSA trinity.

Specifically Jay Garrick . He is the most underrated flash and the only writer that seems to give him any credit is Geoff Johns.

When Waid reintroduced Jay into the flash books he had him stay on the sidelines due to his speed. In the fake Barry Allen arc Jay should have been able to kick the less experienced Zoom's ass, but that wouldn't give Wally a power up any closure. Understandable but Jay should have been taken out with a surprise attack instead of being gullible as hell and getting his leg broken.

Even if he couldn't be the main hero(which is understandable it was Wally's book) he could have been the wise and experienced speedster. Jay had been flash for about 50 years by the time he was reintroduced, but instead of letting Jay be the experienced speedster, Waid introduced Max Mercury and made him a "zen master of speed". Jay's experience wasn't worth crap.

Then in the OYL story arc with Bart, everyone is whining about there not being a flash when Jay had been servicing the city for the whole freaken year!

Alan Scott also tends to job a lot and we don't see enough good stories with the original/most powerful earth Green Lantern.

I would make The Brave and the Bold weekly.

12 issue arcs , by different writers and artist shouldnt have deadline issues.

Only thing their has to be a pairing on the cover.

1st issue Captain Marvel & Black Adam (1st issue of weekly series)

I personally don't think there should be another weekly. They're killing my wallet

It basically should be:

1. Not too tied into monthly continuity. I thought Countdown tried to be too "current" and tied in with the monthly DCU and that failed miserably.

2. It has to have the feeling of something important. I'm not talking about big event here, but the viewers need a reason to feel invested. One of the knocks of "Brave and the Bold" is that the stories don't matter--they are all self contained, and we know everything is going to be the way it was at the beginning. There should be some sort of change of direction or key turning points in the lives of the characters who are featured. (Of course, whoever is writing will totally miss the boat of what I'm trying to say and end up randomly killing 3-4 D Listers in an attempt to make the book "huge")

I don't think there should be a weekly series either. I like going to the comic book store, but going there every week for the same title is not fun for me.

Also, what's the point of having one weekly series, when the rest of DC's titles can't even ship on time?
I would much rather have Bagley, who is a fan favorite, and professional enough to meet deadlines, on a monthly book.

I was going to suggest a Marvel Comics Presents-like comic but even that title was bi-weekly. Plus, the way things are in the industry and the amount of talent, I don't think it would be of consistent quality to publish it, and I don't think that there is enough fans to buy that type of book.

Green Lantern Corps.

This would be one of the easiest 52 issue runs ever. And there are so many different ways you can do this too. 52 different Lantern Spotlights, follow a small group of Lanterns (similar to Green Lantern Corps right now except with a different cast of course) throughout the 52 weeks, or a Book of Oa kinda deal where stories past and present can be told. Depending on the way it's done you can have different writers and artists on it too so that way it's not too taxing on the other monthlies as well.

With how poplular Green Lantern is right now this would be an easy money maker.

Bring back Hitman written by Garth Ennis. Even if it has to be a zombie Hitman

Oh, nice, thanks for that hitman spoiler, much appreciated.

Detective comics weekly would work great as it has a wide array of cast members. Superman...probably not, but I don't really read any supes.

Team comics would make good weeklys, green lantern corps, anthology (DC weekly) involving the adventures of random villains and heroes, to help expose lesser known characters and current retcons.
