A lot of things are going to happen in the "New Ways to Die" arc. It's more than just the Thunderbolts, way more.
Spider-Girl's cover is making me drool. Will the character death be the legit Mayday?
NWTD...meh. Nothing compared to the story Tom's got going. Norman vs Menace is about the only draw for me.

Well it's about time some of the former Goblins confronted Menace, and I'm glad that Norman is the one to do it.
Still May vs May and No idea who is the real deal. I must say I can't wait for that fight.
Also I can't see just how the Thunderbolts are going to change things up for Spider-man, except playing it low key once they learn his secret ID.
I wonder why they don't do Ultimate Spider-man any more ? :frown:

Yeah but we all know Norman is gonna get jobbed by Menace so why does it matter. Marvel cant have him be the new bad @$$ goblin just to be beaten up.

Really!?! Have you been reading Thunderbolts, because if Norman does the job, than Menance is going to have to shoot to the top of the heap.
I love a good insane Goblin. Something about them. . . sigh.

Dammit, I may actually have to break my anti-BND Oath just for NWTD. Venom and Gobby are my two favorite villains, and with BOTH of them in here, and new versions to boot, I just can't resist.
I also can't wait for Spider-Girl.
Hell of a month for spider-fans.

Don't worry, it would only be for NWTD. I'd be supporting Venom and Gobby, not Spidey.

It's like Slott is playing a flute to recall all of the lost and wayward Spidey fans.

haha when i read that i pictured the chicken mask from legend of zelda majhoras mask that made all the chicks come back and turn into chickens. slotts playing a flute and all the old fans who have shunned the book are coming back
He's got a good shopping list. Osborn vs Menace, a more involved May Parker, Mac Gargan's Venom, but perhaps more essentially...following up on fan demands that he be a more hands-on writer for an extended period of time. It may only be two months worth of story, but he's writing six issues, the most out of the whole brain-trust.
I picked up his MJ BND issue mainly because I byrne-read it first and found it stuck to the right peices for me to give it a home. I'll be byrne-reading all of these first and considering to buy them afterward.

Well he is a bit of a Marvel fan first like most of us, and a writer second.

Looks like a great month! But, I must say, I am not loving the JRJR covers the way I thought I would be.....not bad, but not the outstanding work I expected.

That Amazing Spider-Girl cover reminds me a lot about the first part "Power & Responsibility" when Peter fought his clone. Ironically enough the clone May's clothes are exactly like Ben Reilly's clothes in that story. She's even got the backpack as well.
