Ok I was thinking about this today with it getting hotter and all. Now with Spider-Man's costume that covers ALL of his body how is it that he doesn't pass out from the heat of those hot New York summers?

I know he has somewhat of a healing factor but, I doubt it would keep him from passing out from the heat but, who knows. Just a silly question.
Thanks.

I think the stock answer is the air flow he gets from swingin' around. and most costumes are supposed to be lightweight at least according to the comics.

Thanks. It's made out of a heat wicking material that continually dissipates the heat of his body.

Sounds as good as anything else!

The Other gave him a brand new Spider-Heat-Dispersion power.

Let's say it has something to do with his spider powers. Perhaps spiders sweat less? Do spiders sweat? Somebody with a entomological background wanna help out here?

And now his sweat glands emit a pleasant odor in theme of lilac...and spiders.

At this point Spidey must envy Hulk, he only has to wear a pair of pants!

I remember that in Spider-Man v1 #36 (if that's the number of the issue celebrating Spider-Mans 30th anniversary) Peter explained about his powers and gadgets, he said his costume is too light to even resist germs.

I'm sure Peter has more than one version of his costume, that look the same but are different in the amount of insulation they provide. A summer suit would be thin and very air-permeable, whereas a winter suit would be thicker and windproofed as well as water-resistant. Both would look much the same to any but the closest visual inspection but feel very different to wear.

Nah. He complains about swining out around in the cold all the time when it's winter and that his costume is rteally too thin for that sort of thing and that he must be crazy to be doing it.

LMAO totally true.

He likes to ignore his superhero life as much as possible and do as little planning for it as possible because he refuses to admit how much he invests into his life as Spider-Man. Like one day there WON'T be some circumstance that summons him to swing off and save the day....poor, optimistic Parker.

Man, some writer really needs to make good use of how smart Pete is....this sad sack shit got old way back. That's why I loved JMS/JRJR run...he was still Peter but the progressions in his life made sense.

Me personally I think with him webslinger and being up so high between skyscraper heat won't be a factor. Unless you're talking about when he's wearing his cloths over the costume. I got nothing...
