Despite all those, Archie decided to abandon the TMNT license after The Year of the Turtle, which had Ron Lim on covers and pre-She-Hulk, Avengers: The Initiative, Amazing Spider-Man Dan Slott scripting the three-parter, which tanked in the direct sales market and at the newsstand

The more ya know.

"Year of the Turtle" is like a peculiar mish-mash of Archie and "Mirage" TMNT stuff, tries to be a homage to both. His humour does sort of fit the original TMNT series...

He also wrote for the Looney Tunes comics, and the Red & Stimpy comics. I think he has entertaining stories about that in his three hour interview with Crawl Space.

He was in the licensed properties ghetto for a while.

I actually hope Mirage studios publish Slott's mini-series, since his profile has been raised by ASM, they ought to ride that curtail.

Any chance his Loony Toon stuff was archived?

Cool. Man has really made rounds through the comic industry. As much as I love the TMNT, I've never picked up a single comic.

I was reading a 1991 Marvel Comic & Dan Slott was mentioned in Stan Lee's column or Editor-in-Chief, Tom Defalco's column; he was working for Marvel as a staff member at the time long before he got into freelance writing...
