I REALLY want to see more Illuminati stories

Whether they be Bendis dialogue fests such as when they discuss women or when they take on impossibly powerful entities like the skrulls, cosmic cats, and the beyonder or marvel boy...the dynamic between them is great, the power set they comprise is great, the characters are great

and you gotta admit, Bendis/Cheung is great.\

as cool as it is to see Cap/Thor/Tony back together again, I'd be even more excited to see the Illuminati on an SI cover.

I greatly enjoyed the Illuminati series as well, although the funny part is they never called themselves that! And they're only referref to as the Illuminati when the book in question has to give identification to the reader! And I guess there's a bit of a clandestine connotation there...


But I dont see much grounds for the Illuminati to regroup even after Secret Invasion.

The real Black Bolt's missing in action after replacement. Namor is allied with Doom(till he got incarcerated) and is underground with the the rest of teh Atlanteans. Xavier is missing and is a bit amnesiac. Dr Strange went on a self imposed exile upon realization of the over reliance on Black magicks and his arrogance. Tony and Reed are busy getting defeated by the Skrulls.

(Man this event is utterly hard on the Illuminati, I must say!)

Although it would be massively cool to see them again!

It would be great seeing another Illuminatti with other guys being created from the Secret Invasion. And make it an ongoing.

I would like to see what happened in some other events, like Onsalught and teen Tony, for example, and maybe see Tony drunk in a meeting of them. And why not, what happened in Heroes Reborn. I mean, everyone was dead except (maybe, I don't remember) Black Bold, and Xavier was in prison.

Anyway, Blackbolt will be back. As will strange.

I'd like to see a flashback story of them deflecting something that WOULD have been a major crossover. It could be smart, action-packed and kind of funny.

and yeah, i'd like to see them actually plan out good defense for various huge threats.

Then again, Marvel's head honchos, mainly Quesada have emphasized time and again they don't like friendly super-heroes and they like the characters on uneasy terms etc.

Another reason I liked Illuminati is that it forced the X-universe to exist with the MU.

So often it pisses me off how separate they keep the X-books from everything else. almost like they share a universe when it's convenient for the x-books and never otherwise. it almost doesn't make sense often.

i think both the avengers circle of Marvel U and x universe would benefit by being more synched up...especially since they have to share wolverine!

and now that I brought up Avengers....when's the last time we heard those fools say Avengers assemble? Maybe mighty but the secret avengers haven't said it at all since civil war have they?
