How exactly does General Ross count as a villain? I knew him to be a foe of Hulk, but a villain?
All I knew of Hulk's major villains are:
1. Leader
2. Abomination
3. Absorbing Man
4. Gargoyle

Moonstone and the Red king come one. Moonstone was fought for 2 stories years ago, The Red King 1 story arc recently. Doesn't qualify him as a major enemy. You would be best putting the Lochness Monster in it as I think he fought that once between issue 190 and 200. The others are recurring villans.

I would put down Nightmare as a major Enemy and Brian Banner or the Ring Master. These characters recure on a regular basis so would qualify.

I don't like the red king choice but everything else is pretty accurate.

I hadn't forgotten that Hulk had some cool villians

I can't comment on the list, because I only started reading hulk way back when the "Professor" Hulk was introduced, so I can't comment on ZZZax, Moonstone, or the BiBeast.
So, the following guys would replace them on my list of top ten Hulk villians, and IMO these guys should be written back into the Hulk books and shown as major Hulk villians just under Maestro/Leader/Abombination:

the Mad Man (Isn't he the Leader's brother?)
Armageddon (Trauma's dad)
Aggimemnon (I can't spell it, but the leader of the Pantheon)

BTW: Wow, I last visited on 10-24-2006. I think I should post more.

It all depends on what you're going for. If it's time's fought, or maybe temporarily beat the Hulk, then some of those characters are good. If it's enemies that have tormented him, then I'd have to think that Maestro and Sterns need to be right up there.

I'd also like to see Madman again in this book, or a She-Hulk book maybe? And I'd like to see Skaar come into contact with the Troyjan.

I think Red King is a really cool villain. I haven't read every Hulk issue ever, but I think he is in there because the "Planet Hulk" story was such a big part of the modern Incredible Hulk history.

Red Kind derserves to be on that list. Weather you want to admit it or not he was a good villain.

I agree.

Weather you want to admit it or not he was a good villain.

Wrong.

The thing about the Hulk is that it's more fun to see him fight other heroes than villains. See Wolverine, Thing, Thor, Sentry, The Avengers, IronMan etc.

I don't have any major problems with that list.

Moonstone didn't fight him on a regular basis or anything but they were fun fights to see nonetheless.

Actually it's strange that they suggest a Bruce Jones story, since everyone hate this, maybe except me and two or three other guys.

I think that I'd put Abomination as #1 and General Ross as #2, personally. But still, this is definitely one of the more accurate lists by Marvel. I'd list them as:

10. Bi-Beast
9. Zzax
8. Absorbing Man
7. Madman
6. Red King
5. U-Foes
4. The Leader
3. Maestro
2. General Thunderbolt Ross
1. Abomination

This is a biased post because I keep reading "The Hulk: End", but man Maestro has gotta be 1 or 2 on my list. PAD even has Hulk mention in the book how the Maestro has sickened him more than any enemy he's encountered. I love the time that PAD spends giving you a peak into the Maestro's head, along with his way of thinking. I also DEEPLY regret waiting so long to get the second part to Future Imperfect. His writing talent is truly a gift.
