I was wondering when this would come out. Also it is nice to finally see the Marvel Zombies come to 616.

I'm also glad to see this one coming out and can't wait to see how the 6161 heroes interact with the Zombies, I've got a feeling that Kirkman will be back to finish the Marvel Zombies saga in MZ4, since this series isn't following the end of MZ2.

Van Lente is great and I love that it will feature Man-Thing. I may pick it up.

I won't be picking this up. I think this series has gone on far too long.

I predict that 616 heroes will defeat the Marvel Zombies.

But it's hard to believe that 616 Universe will triumph since Marvel Zombies were once the exact counterparts of Earth-616 citizens. Besides most of the heroes of Earth-616 never try to kill anyone, even a dead/unliving zombie.

Though i did enjoy the first mini, the second mini was already pushing it. And now this...

I agree. They dont have to add every what if or variation to continuity. I dont like the writer either.

Agreed, the first was great and the second was barely passable, but personally I'm over the Marvel Zombies theme, it was fun while it lasted, but it's time to move on to better things, like the new Skrull Kill Krew.

Ugh, I'm both annoyed at more Marvel Zombies, yet joyed that sexy Van Lente is writing it. <3

I don't like it. Zombies should stay out of the 616verse.

Going by the Newsarama interview it seems almost the entire Florida initiative may be slaughtered......Which apparently the team will be made up of old Man-Thing characters such as Jennifer Kale.

I really liked the Witches mini and was hoping for a second but with this it could ruin any chance of even seeing them together again.:frown:

On the one hand, I've never really gotten into the whole Marvel Zombies franchise. On the other, I've never read a Fred Van Lente comic I haven't liked.

So . . . I dunno.

Unlike Amazing Spider-Man or Fantastic Four which are still new and fresh after 40 years.
Oh wait....no they are not.:evilangry:

Like most readers, I'm pretty much zombied-out, but the Van Lente/Walker team is enough to get me to buy it. Nice call, Marvel.

Did anyone ever see Kev Walker's work on the Chuck Austen-penned "The Eternal" series? The art was fabulous, even if the story was not so hot.

Guess I hit a nerve. The comparisons is quite laughable.

Ramifications for Deadpool-616?

Oh....no... If you turn one of the funniest characters in the 616 into a flesh eating member of the undead... that joke will get old FAST, and permanently ruin DP. They better be careful how they handle that.

The fact that Deadpool is getting his own series again, makes me wonder if they are going to Zombify him and then explore the Zombification in his series which will have started by then...

Y'know I'm suprised that Marvel is doing another Marvel Zombies so soon. I thought the company was going to let it rest for a while but I guess the undead can't rest for long.

I'm going to be looking forward this. It was only a matter of time before the Zombies came to 616.

What a f'ing waste of a great character that would be. I'd hope that they don't go through with it.

This has me worried too, but Deadpool's healing factor should be able to get rid of any zombie juice. Similar to how him and Wolverine can heal themselves out of the Venom Symbiote.

I hope you are right...

But remember that Hulk and Wolverine, two heroes with MASSIVE healing Factors, found out that the Zombie virus destroyed their Healing factors...

Unless of course the heroes of 616 find a cure for the zombie virus. Which would be dissapointing and what I'm suspecting MZ3 to be about. It's going to be, "oh no, (enter name) has been turned into a zombie!" then "oh wait a minute we've found the cure!" and everything gets put right.

God l hope that dosen't happen.

Hmmm... this is interesting, but also potentially worrisome.

Marvel Zombies must kill and zombify people... that's the formula for franchise. And if they're in the 616, that means heroes are gonna die. Probably in descent numbers.

Initiative Florida is pretty much screwed. I think that's ultimately what the Initiative is going to become (outside of the big name teams like the MA or the TBolts). They'll be cannon fodder.

First off, I love that they're going in a new direction as there are so many more things you can do with Marvel Zombies than watching them look for food in a desolate Earth/Universe. And this does have the potential to be great and for the first time in a while I'm looking forward to something from Marvel again.

But . .

The Marvel Zombies universe heroes were weak, out of character, and just plain STUPID as hell. Hopefully the 616 heroes are treated with more respect. 616 Galactus would have laughed at a Marvel Zombie trying to bite him and nothing (NOTHING) should get past the Hulk's healing factor.

I wont give this a second look if they pull the crap with the REAL Marvel Heroes that they did with the MZ heroes.

Then again this is the Marvel that gave us One More Day so who the hell knows or even cares.

If the Zombies end up facing A list heroes, you can be guranteed that they won't be anywhere as stupid or as weak. Obviously the Fantastic Four and Avengers of the 616 aren't going to end up dead and zombified.

However, if they're dealing with Initaitive C listers, we might end up getting the same level of effectiveness we got from the heroes of the zombie MU up to a point... obviously they can't win in the 616 and they'll end up stopped. That will be the biggest difference.

I thought MZ2 was pretty dissappointing, especially the ending, so there weren't many writers they could have put on MZ3 to get me interested, I probably would have even passed on another go from Kirkman. But Van Lente is certainly one of the few writers who might do a good job, so I'll give it a chance.

The thing I'm interested to see is what Zombies will be used for this mini. I mean they were all killed weren't they? Okay I'm not saying all the zombies were congregated together in New York but who's left?
