I've never bought one before but am planning on getting the Tomb of Dracula Omnibus Vol.1 when it comes out in October. What exactly is an Omnibus? Is it just a bigger version of a hardcover?Color?B&W?

It's similar to one of Marvel's oversized hardcovers, but containing three to four times the material.

Be warned they include dozens of issues and are massive, not exactly reader friendly.

Are the Omnibus volumes oversized? I don't own one, but I always thought they were standard trim size, just collecting huge amounts of issues. I might have to reconsider grabbing a few if the art is bigger.

They're the same trim size as Marvel's oversized hardcovers, yeah.

True but I think its worth it to have all these classics in one book.

Next up The Incredible Hulk Omnibus that comes out at the end of the month :D

Saw the captain america one at books-a-million and decided to show it to my sister. Her reaction was great. " thats a comic book? It's huge!" I then showed her the price.

You can guess her reaction.

It's the best of both worlds as it gives you a workout while reading.
