Warren opens up his map, he's standing outside the airport in Curitiba, Brazil, when his backpack rings. Turns out the X-Men slipped a little tracking device/phone into has bags so they didn't have to use Cerebro to track him whenever he flew away. Jean's on the other end asking him where the hell he went, she knows something is up b/c when his parents came to visit and took him in the library.
I'll let the images do the talking on this part, it's hard to convey the humor in these summaries.

I was laughing so loud in my car when Warren's dad was asking who that was outside.
Warren's dad tells him that his Aunt Mimi is missing, that she went to Brazil and hasn't called in a week. They usually aren't worried when she goes on these geographical trips, but she hasn't called and they are really worried.
Anyway so Warren flies outta the airport to these huge waterfalls, called Devil's Throat.
Jean and him talk more about his Aunt, Jeff Parker does a nice job conveying the relationship she and Warren had, you can tell they were close. Bobby comes by with mail and tells Jean she has more poems from the guys at the State Prison, joking of course, Bobby says Warren got a postcard, probably from Wanda, Jean grabs it and it's from his aunt, dated a week and half ago. After some back and forth Warren tells Jean he notices a rope heading into one of the waterfalls, as if it's a cave. He flies despite the protest of Jean on the other end.
Inside is like a lost civilization, Mayan, Aztec, they all look the same to me, but it's kinda like that. He searches a bit around yelling out for Mimi, he's surprised that these people don't seem to be afraid of him at all. He finds her and they reunite, hug, back and forth and what not. He flies her around so she can show him the place. The place is called the Land of Mists. She takes him down to this river bed where this young hot lil brazilian babe is bringing up some kind of lobster. Aunt Mimi introduces her to Warren as Bera, Warren goes to shake her hand but instead she lays one on him. Later Warren meets everyone, including the King at this banquet, Warren says he'll never remember all the names, except for Bera's, you can tell he starting to fall for her.
Outside two fisher are interrupted by quite a site...Bobby freezes the water and Jean guides the raft as the rest of the team fly right in. Warren knows immediately what's up and they go to reunite. Hugs, laughs, introductions, Warren introduces Bera to the team and Bobby pops off "Knew it!". Cyke tells him that he's glad to see him and they'll rest here for a day and then head back to the mansion. Except Warren doesn't want to leave.
Back at the mansion Cyclops tells Xavier he tried his best but Warren didn't wanna go, he wonders if it's mind control or possession of some sort. Xavier says that no, Warren is probably just happy. Xavier tells them that ever since Warren came to school he felt accepted, free, but the school is small and it's just them. Unlike most of them, Warren can't freely walk around out in public, he must restrain his wings and that eventually got to him. Xavier says he'd be happy if Warren came back, but he must not force him to, if they care for him, they have to let him go.
The issue ends with a picture of Scott and Jean looking outside watching the birds and a image on the bottom of Warren flying with Bera.

I really liked this issue, it was more on the serious side and felt like a lost story more than some of the past issues. It was nice to have Roger Cruz back on the art, I missed his, some great aerial shots of the Devil's Throat.
The characters were strong, felt just like the ones I feel in love with all those years ago. I also liked that the story kinda felt like a cliff hanger, like these aren't just one and done stories. The cover to next month's issue doesn't have Warren on it, so it's safe to say this plot will be picked up next month.
Overall another strong issue from a great team. I can't say enough about this cover, I freaking love it.
Pick up this book.
