I know Steve Dillon is a great artist, but he didn't fit this book at all imo. Glad to see they got a new one, it's not bad.

Looks like we're finally going to get some answers over Wolverine other connections to the Marvel U.

Is Lenil doing the art... looks like him anyway.
They didn't go far enough with the changeover, they shoulda sacked Way too (not handed him DP, jesus christ!). In fact, they should just hand Origins over Aaron & Garney, maybe it'd stop shedding readers then.

I like Way's thoughts around how to ensure that Deadpool's new series can't be ignored. It's actually something that I kept wishing the powers that be at Marvel would've done with Cable right after Messiah Complex, and that is plant him right smack dab in the middle of the Marvel Universe and all of the action!
That way, the next time a House of M, Civil War or Secret Invasion comes along, he will be a part of it.
Planting him in an obscure alternate future timeline? Less of a guarantee that way.
We'll have to wait and see how succesful Way is with this approach, but I like how he's thinking here. More Deadpool in the Marvel U is definitely a good thing IMO.

I've decided that I am definitely giving his Deadpool a shot, I hope it's great.

I also wonder who he's waiting on to finish up with another assignment before becoming the new penciler on Wolverine? Can't be Lenil Yu, Dave Finch or Steve McNiven because they'll still be busy with Secret Invasion, Ultimatum and Wolverine: Old Man Logan respectively. But I bet it's someone pretty "hot" because of the Wolverine movie coming out next year. They'll want to have some good Wolverine stuff traded by the time that comes out.

"Maybe you're curious about "X-Men: Legacy" #212 or "X-Force" #4 (both in stores this week), or perhaps you want to know more about the upcoming "Uncanny X-Men" #500? Whatever it is that plagues your mind, write it in an email and send it our way (link - george@comicbookresources.com) by 12:00 PM PST this Friday. And if you put "X-Position" in the subject line, we promise to treat your missive like a precious snowflake. See you next Tuesday!"
X Men 500?
Plagues?
Precious Snowflake?
Ms Rasputin?

Nooooo, Aaron and Garney will have their hands full with the regular Wolverine title if I have anything to do with it. Which, admittedly, I don't, but still.

Its pretty clear that Limbo/Darkchyld storyline from new X-men would be resolved in Uncanny wasn't it? I mean Collosus, Pixie, Nightcrawler, all being part of the uncanny cast makes it obvius.

Sent in an O5 related question. Hopefully it gets picked and answered.
The article refers to Deadpool as a mutant??? ?

RE: #25 Who could Daken have been reffering to who is a master of the skill of "being where the enemy isnt looking"? Its obvious he is reffering to a previous MU character who was another unkown Weapon X trainer. The silhouette doesnt seem to help, someone with ninjitsu knowlege? Daredevils trainer Stick?

Unfortunately for us, he's most likely referring to Romulus. For more information on Romulus, check out Loeb's "Evolution" arc in Wolverine......actually, don't. It's god-awful.

I'm excited about Daken!
I hope they push his character like they've done for X-23, though it'll be likely on the opposite side of the fence.

Yeah, I'm actually thinking that Daken could make a pretty cool villain if pushed a bit more by Marvel. I remember hearing somewhere that he was supposed to become the new Sabretooth, taking on the codename to piss off his dad or something like that.
That could be kind of cool IMO, but he'd need to dye his hair blonde.

I'd be up for this only if the real Sabertooth comes back and guts him for stealing the name.

I'm cool with him in his own identity (as marketable as Sabretooth is/was), but yes I'd like to see him take up Sabretooth's role, perhaps as X-23's arch-nemesis.

Umph. There are two thinks I do not like about Dīken.
His hair & His name (Seriously? Daken? Like in DīKen the Shi-ar emperor?)
If he cuts his air and shows some depth, I guess I could start to like him, but not as a Villiain or an Alli, but something in between.

It's one of Yu's friends Stephen Segovia on art. Segovia is heavily influinced by Yu's art.

I'm so glad I dropped this book. Way has a nasty habit of trying to reinvent the wheel too much (Romulus has corrupted absolutely everyone in Wolverine's life, here's Logan's son, Ghost Rider's an angel by the way, EVERYTHING YOU KNOW IS WRONG) when he should be concentrating on telling stories with characters you care about. I imagine that Way's work on Deadpool will probably have some similar ridiculous 'revelation' - "Pool-o-vision is the REAL world - the Marvel Universe is the fake!!!".

I have never bought an issue of this title, but I'm buying the issues Segovia draws for the art alone.

LOL the reason why I like the hair is because its distinctive. Plus, I kinda like mohawks on guys I don't know why. It makes me feel like a groupie, but it also feels so right.
