Even if it did, he/she can still think it's great.

Reportedly there are some people actually enjoying the Red Hulk series, and I can't understand that, so I guess it's just a matter of opinion.

Who cares what someone else said? Read it and make up your own mind.

I thought it was a great story.

And just an aside... people slammed Citizen Kane when it was released too

Just judging from the Hulk forum I didn't see the book get a whole lot of terrible reviews. A few people didn't like it but overall reaction seems positive.

I also enjoyed the Giant Sized Annual so kudos to Roger.

Thanks, Hold. No further Hulk projects in the immediate future. That guy with the webs is next on my plate.

Well, there was at least one guy who was apparently upset that it didn't tie in with the current Red Hulk stuff...despite the solicitations to the contrary*, the pre-publication interview, (http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=154568) and the fact that the Hulk was big and green on the cover.

You can't please everyone. But there were several other reviewers who did get it.

Thanks, Will. It was great seeing that story back in print on white paper.

*To be fair, there were a few errors in the original solicitation. It was originally listed as a 48-page book, and it was actually 64 pages!

Well, Rog...I LOVE your Spider-Man issues, but the Hulk is my favorite character and you have been my fav Hulk writer since I was a kid. I hope to see you return one day!

Do you pitch stuff to Marvel or do they come to you?

What's after Spidey??

Sometimes I try to interest them in a project. Sometimes they call me.

Actually, I'm working on Spider-Man. "Spidey" was a watered-down version of Spider-Man that appeared in an unfortunate comic called Spidey Super Stories. (He had a limited vocabulary and usually spoke in balloons of no more than six words. Really.)

But to answer your question...what's next? We'll all have to wait and see.

NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!

Why? Why you had to do it? I think you are one of the best Spider-Man writers, but... I hate BND!!!!! Hope it's something outside BND continuity... And be sure to include Hobgoblin, whatever it is!

It's going to be in Amazing Spider-Man.

To each his own. I'm reading and enjoying Spider-Man for the first time in seven-going-on-eight years.

And there's no Hobgoblin in this first story. But if enough people buy it and like it...well, you never know.

Loved your new Hulk story. As you said you cant please everybody, and i'll add that some reviewers are very subjective in their analysis, but it was good.

BND: So far i liked the Slot arc, dropped the book after the second arc that was... average. And am sceptical about some upcoming stuff like paparazi Pete.
But i'll be there for yours. You're one of my favorite Spider-Man writers since your New Prowler/Belladona story in Peter Parker/Spectacular.
And of course i loved your amazing Amazing run (no typo fault).
I'm very happy to see you write the character again.
And me too i hope to see new Hobgoblin stuff by you.

I choose to ignore the Mephisto crap and to read Amazing as if we got only the Illusion of change since the runs by you and Tom Defalco. OMD will need to be fixed one day, but for now I can ignore it.

Rog, I have to say I really trust you on the ASM line to deliver a straight-up New York travel brochure story Spider-Man style. Car crashes, both literal and social, villains eating pavement...with extra sauce, the whole works. Wreck the joint.

You're probably the only MJ critic I think that will write her the way she ought to be written too...though I'm not expecting her to be part of the first arc, get a hold of her one day...it'd be a relief to see the return of the mature, non-judgemental sweetheart that she used to be in a "mainstream" context.

It's going to be in Amazing Spider-Man.
...or not...
Roger Stern will be writing a Spider-Man story, but probably not in the regular "Amazing" series in the Brand New Day Cycle. "It will probably be off to the side," Brevoort said, adding that "Spider-Man Family" will become "Amazing Spider-Man Family," and that Stern's story may appear there.

Thanks Roger for the enjoyable story. As a long long time Hulk reader it was good to see some of the older supporting characters again. I was hoping that April character would have appeared but that can be in a later project.

I liked it over the past seven years... but I didn't know what it was missing to be great (if you get what I mean).

Anyway, as far as your story goes, does it carry forward some sub-plots the other writers have laid down or is it more stand alone in nature? How have you liked working as part of a group?

In the interview you said you don't spoil surprises, please stay that way.

You prefer the current Spider-Man over J.M.S run?

Agreed.

Too much gets revealed way too fast in this day and age.

I like a surprise story!
