I've been a major fan of Steve Buscemi's since Parting Glances, and I'm looking forward to this quite a bit. You can check out the trailer (http://www.apple.com/trailers/weinstein/igor/), and IDW's also got a prequel comic (samples from Newsarama):

I'm not liking the art, sorry.

The art is a bit peppier Slave Labor style. I like it, and am really looking forward to this film and whatever Buscemi's willing to offer; even directorial efforts, which are often quiet and somber.

And John Cusack's playing Igor. Of course I'm there. Cusack's been sounding rather dejected in his interviews lately. .

The art's inoffensive in every way and fits the tenor of the story.

Is that praise, or faintly damning?

For a comic based on an animated film, it's amazing how static and lifeless those pages are.

?

It's a comic, it's not going to be animated.

Anyway, it's a prequel to help get people ready for the film, and I think it does that quite nicely. It looks like the film, which looks good to me.

That doesn't matter. It's a bunch of static, boring images.

Well, we don't have to like the same things do we?
I think it's good that some people like some art and others like ... other kinds:confused: Okay that came out like I had a mouthful of foot, but you know what i mean. I personally would have liked more "gothica" art style, but this cartoonish style does work well for what it is.

I didn't call it offensive, I just don't appreciate it as much as someone else....not my "bag" as I might say.

Ignore Helix, he's an angry man.

Originally, the concept art was MUCH darker, and they had to tone it down, because this IS a movie aimed at a family/young kids audience.

...and Gothica sucked!

Ew, not the film, the art style!
