So far I've only read issue 1 of SI (I'm waiting for my next mail order delivery) and I have a question.

If the Skrulls are making their base in the Savage Land are we going to see appearances by Ka-Zar, Shanna, Devil Dinosaur and Moon Boy, the mutates and others who make/made their home here?

Has any news leaked out about potential appearances by these characters?

It would be good to see them involved rather than keeping it primarily an Avengers/FF event.

Most likely Ka-zar and Shanna. One of the solicits for New Avengers shows Spider-Man going to look for them.

I'm not sure about the other characters or the mutates. Maybe they'll show up in one of the many large fight scenes.

New Avengers # 41 preview says Spider-Man goes looking for Ka-zar

In case your not aware, that issue is due next week.

We might see Devil Dinosaur but not with Moon Boy because Moon Boy was kidnapped by Misty Knight and her Heroes For Hire just before World War Hulk took place. Misty was offered a large sum of money to snatch Moon Boy and turn him over to a group of government scientists who wanted to conduct experiments on him in the name of medical research. As far as I'm aware, Moon Boy is still being held in a lab somewhere in the US.

...and yes, this is the lowest thing that Misty Knight has ever done. Even her partner Colleen Wing was disgusted with her about it.

Thanks for that.

Although, apparently (I missed it) Moon Boy was back in the Savage Land in Marvel Comics Presents in January, although there was no explanation of how he escaped from the lab, so maybe it is not in continuity.

Bingo!

Kazar was recently seen in Uncanny X-Men 495 while Cyclops and Emma vacationed in the Savage Land. It was a fairly uneventful trip.

Hmmmm....I would've thought that the stuff in Marvel Comics Presents is definitely in continuity. Maybe, Misty Knight did the right thing and returned Moon Boy to Devil Dinosaur in the Savage Land.

At the end of the final issue of the recent Heroes For Hire series Colleen Wing was certainly urging Misty to do the right thing regarding Moon Boy.

I really hope that this is addressed somewhere and doesn't just get glossed over and forgotten about. Either in Misty & Colleen's follow up series to Heroes For Hire (if there is one) or maybe in the pages of The Immortal Iron Fist, which Misty Knight is due to appear in I believe.

Ah the marvel universe, where good people do bad things for money and the US government is the ultimate villain.
