Great art. I'm a sucker for anything with Alan Scott when he's used properly.
On a side note, the writer meant for this to be a flash-back to Superman's first Memorial Day weekend in Metropolis but I think the artist mistook it for Labor Day (Sept) or Veterans Day (Oct). Look at the backgrounds. It's Fall, when it should be Spring ...

A very enjoyable fill in issue with a Chris Reeves-esque Clark Kent. The art by Lopez was nice, but perhaps the worst inking I've seen on a mainstream comic in some time. "Bit" should understand that inking is not just spotting black in arbitrary places. A real disservice to the penciler.

For the first time in a while, I put a Superman title back on the shelf when it was pulled out of my box at the comic shop. I'm not doing "fill-ins" any more. Paying $3 for something that essentially "doesn't count" in that it doesn't advance a long-term story is something I won't do any longer.
With that said, I'm REALLY looking forward to the Johns-Robinson plan for the Superman titles that makes it interconnect ala Green Lantern/Green Lantern Corps.

Who cares, as log as it's a good story??

I enjoyed this quite a bit. Nice art and cool to see a Superman/Alan Scott Green Lantern team up. I dont mind fill ins when they are good.
Is the Daily Planet secretary a new character?

Looks like the chick from Ghostbusters has been moonlighting
Anyway, I fully support any story where Perry White is finally being written well again. Even if it is filler.
Hell, he threw in a "Great Ceasar's Ghost" just for good measure.
Go Team Silver Age.

WTF happened to the story originally solicited?
Was it cause of the recent ruling about AC #1? Since the solicits and the cover imply its about the man on the corner of AC #1

There have been rumors to that effect.
DC may not be able to reference AC #1 anymore.
