Are there any good Godzilla games out there that are worth the money?

I heard that Godzilla Destroy All Monsters Melee was an OK game

Is Godzilla: Unleashed a good game? I saw some gameplay footage but I want to know from people on here whether or not it's worth the money.

Not a Godzilla game per say but I do remember playing a demo for the game War of the Monsters (PS2) which was kind of fun.

I think I'm gonna go with Godzilla: Unleashed as soon as I get some cash.

Personally, I'd give it a rental first. It has some pretty horrible reviews.

GET THE WII VERSION IF YOU DO.
the Ps2 is a sorry excuse for a half made game.
The Wii is superiah!
And Unleashed is the best of the series IMO. though Melee was good too. If you don't have a Wii, get Melee. :3

War of the Monsters was awesome. I've always thought that they needed to make a sequal. You can climb up buidings and throw cars. I rented it a few times.

In war of the monsters?
There were only 10 monsters available and none of them are officially licenced ones: instead you get homages (or rip offs depending on your opinion) to some of the classics in both japanese and american cinema/tv history.
Just looking around the web and at videos on youtube (because this topic kind of piqued my interest in a monster game), War of the Monsters seems to be of a better quality of game whereas godzilla unleashed has much more content.

War of the Monsters was the bomb! You can unlock new skins for all the monsters, and eachone has a "mecha" version too. Damn. I want to play it again now.

I've actually never heard of that game. Does anyone have a link to scans of the monsters?

The game had very good reviews back in the day. I prob can't find all the pictures, but all of the monsters are knock-offs of famous monsters. There is a Godzilla looking monster , a King Kong monster. A Voltron type monster, a giant insect etc.

Try the official site. (http://www.us.playstation.com/PS2/Games/War_of_the_Monsters/OGS/) They've got profiles for 8 of the monsters under the Monsters, Monsters! tab and profile shots of the 2 unlockable monsters under the "unlocks" tab.
