Shocking and powerful World War II based horror drama about before WWII ended, the Japanese wanted to use and torture the Russians and Chinese for biological experiments.

It's a memorable and unique shocker with graphic gore and torture that will stick to your memory for a long time such as a naked chinese man suffering in a decompression room then shoots intestines out of his bunghole, a real cat being thrown into a pit of flesh-eating rats as they rip it apart, and actual stock footage of a real dead child getting an autopsy.

This movie is ten times worse then your basic "Hostel" and ranks up there with "The Passion of the Christ" as one of the most harrowing and powerful historical films ever.

Well the vast majority of that movie was fake. Its billed as being real, just like movies like texas chainsaw massacre (the original) bills itself as being real.

Its kind of like how people still think faces of death is real or when charlie sheen went was noted on tv when he reported to the fbi about a horrrible snuff film he saw that turned out to be called tumbling doll of flesh, it was fake also.

Ive seen it though and it has no merit to anyone in any fashion. It has no historical value since its nothing more than just a gore fiends wet dream, its bad things happening to people. No reflections or thought provoking ideas about the horrors of war or humanity, no social commentary, its just a exploitation film of nothing but death. And its not like its even about that era, the same bad things happen to people still to this day, we just block that stuff out or dont think about it since it doesnt happen to us personally.

If your on a mission to de-sensitize yourself then that movie is a good start, but thats about all its good for really. I watched it just to see it but I wouldnt bother a second time or give it any merit, and Im a 30+ year veteran of every genre and sub-genre of horror you can imagine.

But saying its a harrowing and a important historical piece is just plain asinine. Aside from the fact its just another death film, its a fake death film at that.
