With a little bit of coaching... I think Clement could be a dynamite Cage. The personality is built in, the look is built in, he just needs a few acting class. What do y'all think?

i think they could probably do better but i guess this guy could work.

i initially hated the idea but, if they could make him look a little "blacker," i'd take Dwayne the Rock Johnson as Cage. why? because they went with someone very well known as Iron Man. Cage needs a very strong lead to drawn in viewers. moviegoers love the Rock. he's already a very good physical actor. and he's not a bad-looking guy. Luke was considered to be a handsome cat back in the day.

Slap a tiara on Fred Williamson, you've basically got old-school Cage.

That said, Cage these days is a lot bigger and balder. He bulked up in the off season. These days, he's pretty much a dead ringer for a guy like Terry Crews.

I'm not so worried about what the actor looks like anymore. Too many times, whether it was Michael Keaton or Hugh Jackman, I've thought Hollywood had gone crazy in their casting, only to be proven very wrong. It's what the makeup does and the attitude the actor brings that makes the character shine—or not (see Ben Affleck as Matt Murdock. LOOKS the part, but just wrong). This guy on Survivor might resemble some version of Luke Cage, but even wtih coaching, he would be a horrible actor therefore wasting (Michael Jai White as Spawn, anyone? Anyone?) a potentially great role.

Is he an actual actor? No? Then ... no.

Honestly, he's got some range. It's popped up a few times in Everybody Hates Chris. It's just he's really good at acting like a hyperthyroid moronic goofball. His comic chops are good enough, no one really calls much for anything else.

Not that Cage needs to be Shakespeare. If anything, I'd say the problem is that he's a tad too old. Dude's a few months shy of 40, but he could play a bit older, even. Which is kind of the opposite from Tyrese, who is usually the guy mentioned as attached. But he's too pretty for Cage.

As long as they dress somebody up in the tiara and yellow shirt, I'll be there opening day spouting 'Sweeting Christmas" as I buy my ticket.

Honestly, what would a powerman movie entail? His awesome origin, or his amazing rogues gallery? How about some of those all time classic Luke Cage moments, those epic tales we read again and again?

I think these photos speak for themselves.Eh...he's a little too sleek. I picture Cage with a little more bulk. Besides if he's not an actor, then why even put him out there as a possible candidate. If you're just looking for muscular and black, then you have a ton of actors to choose from before going with a reality show contestant. Morris Chesnut & Michael Jae White would work for me.

I'm getting near that age and I'm probably in the same shape I was in when I was 25. I'd say a guy in his late 30's can probably play the role for a few years (if there are sequels).

Also, I never liked the idea of a twenty-something Cage. He's a product of the 70's. I figure you can pay homage to his blaxploitation roots by showing parts of childhood during that era.

his origin is awesome if stop thinking about the yellow shirt and tiara. gangbanger tries to turn his life around. old partner in crime frames him. volunteers for human experimentation to reduce his sentence. racist guard sabotages the experiment in an attempt to kill him. convict gains superpowers but also becomes a fugitive from the law. what's lame about that? only a complete moron of a costume designer would actually outfit him in the yellow silk nowadays. as for his rogues gallery, i'd (personally) use Tombstone. he's the kind of odd-looking criminal that would translate well onto the big screen.
