Enemy Ace, Firehair and Tomahawk are past DC heroes.
I didn't recognise the US pilot and the colonel. Are they past characters? I hope Bruce Jones strikes gold here. I loved his Hulk but he hasn't left his mark since he joined DC.

I kinda liked this issue but it needed a little more energy. After issue two, I think I'll make my mind up. Not a bad start, though.

I agree with you. It had enough for me to look forward to the next issue.
Though I do think it did well with the action/energy.
I really like the slightly classic look.

I love the concept of soldiers fighting dinosaurs. Did anyone look at the Showacse volume? Good fun. There has been a number of chicks vs dinosaurs recently, Shanna at Marvel, Jungle Girl at Dynamite but Bruce Jones seems to avoid that pitfall. Anyway I like it that classic war heroes are used at DC. Of all their comics they're the ones that aged best.

Meh, personally IMHO it should've been "The Comic That DC Forgot".
I like the updated time-travel scenario, though.
