Isn't this the series that they said would have virtually no tie-in's? That didn't last long, did it?

They said there would be no tie-ins with ongoing series unless the creative teams wanted to. So, technically they're correct. :)

If I'm correct they announced that there would be two tie-in mini's- Revelation and Legion of Three Worlds.
Then they decided that since Rouge's Revenge took major plot points from FC, they'd add the banner and cut it from six issues to 3 oversized issues.
The one-shots were planned for the month break, but seem to not be during it... which is confusing. From what I remember being at the NYCC panel we were supposed to get Resist, Submit, Superman beyond and one more one shot (I'm assuming it would have been DC Universe: Last Will and Testament) once a week during the skip month. Resist and Submit have been moved however...
Still, as far as tie ins to big events go, this one is tiny. Civil War had 100+ tie ins and I'm hearing that Secret Invasion will but it to shame. 'Nuff Said.

Aren't JLA and Batman going to have "tie-ins" at some point?
also does the DCU special for JLA count?

JLA only has one tie-in & Batman will have a two parter after Batman RIP.
I think it's been mentioned that Birds of Prey will have a tie-in & possibly Teen Titans. But all of these aren't part of Final Crisis and just run alongside it.
The DCU Specials are reprints of past issues that "tie in"...The JLA one, for instance, contains Libra's original appearance from the 70's.

Sounds about right, I saw the full list for all the SI tie-ins and offshoots and it was pretty overwhelming
I don't see myself venturing outside the main Final Crisis series, the only one of those offshoots that look that good to me is Revelations, as I enjoy Rucka's writing, but its doubtful, though the main series is looking great

Isn't this the series that they said would have virtually no tie-in's? Might want to tell us where they said that there would be no tie-ins because they always said that Final Crisis would be followed with two minis and several one-shots, all that has changed is the addition of the Rogues Mini, Superman Beyond and Last Will and Testament.

Heh. Forgot the sketchbook....But JLA #21 isn't a direct tie-in. I was going to start another thread later on that would include the indirect tie-ins such as it and others like the Flash issue and Birds of Prey....I just don't know whether there will be that many, however.

Outside of Legion of 3 Worlds (which I was going to get anyway) I'm not buying into any of these tie ins thanks to the Countdown to Final Crisis BS tie ins.
If they're good, which I think the Rogues Revenge will be given that it's written by Geoff, then I'll read them in the trade/one shot collections.

I for one am going to try to get them all, unlike Countdown these will actually have stuff to do with the plot. plus I really like the talent involved

Shouldn't the Batman RIPs tie-in? I mean, it's unofficial, but didn't C!N's article say that Morrison intended that to ride side by side with FC?

JLA #21 isn't a direct tie-in..
I don't think I agree. Didn't they advertise it as a prologue of sorts? It's actually much more significant than DC Universe #0.

They advertised it as a "bridge" between Salvation Run & Final Crisis, but there's nothing beyond that that labels it as an official tie-in.

Has it been publicized who the creative teams will be for all these tie-ins?
I'm already getting the Geoff Johns-penned issues (Legion of Three Worlds & Rogues' Revenge).
Who are the other ones by?

Agreed, JLA #21 did seem more significant than DC Universe #0.

Couldn't tell you the artists, but-
Final Crisis: Requiem was by Pete Tomasi
Final Crisis: "Revelations "and "Resist" are Greg Rucka
Final Crisis: Last Will And Testament is Brad Meltzer
Final Crisis: Superman Beyond is Morrison himself
FC: "Submit" is by Johns and Morrison
FC: "Rage of the Red Lanterns" is Geoff Johns

have you read it?? it feels like the DCU#0, JLA#21, and FC#1 parts with Libra are all part of one issue
Just looking at the master list of FC titles - how do you think they'll be collected into trades?
I guess Final Crisis itself as 1 volume.
Then:
Legion of Three Worlds tpb
Revelations tpb
But that leaves a lot of one-shots and short series. Would they be humped into one larger book?
DC Universe Zero (1 issue)
Rogues Revenge (3 issues)
Requiem (1 issue)
Superman Beyond (2 issues)
DC Universe: Last Will and Testament (1 issue)
Submit (1 issue)
Resist (1 issue)
Rage of the Red Lanterns (1 issue)
That's 11 issues - too much for a single tpb?

I would assume all of the stuff by Morrison will be lumped into one volume.

Interesting that the recent Infinity Inc. issues have been all about Boss Dark Side and his cronies and that hasn't been much under discussion.

the way I'd package the trades:
DCU0, Justice League #21 and FC1-7
Superman Beyond 1-2
Requiem, Last Will & Testament, Submit, Resist and Rage
Rogues Revenge 1-3
Revelations 1-5plus DCU0 prelude
Legions of 3 World 1-5 plus DCU0 prelude
though it could be likely Beyond and some of the one shots would be packaged with FC and it would be split into Final Crisis vol. 1 and vol. 2 with the 3 mini series seperate

Does anyone have any ideas about the chronological order of the series, including direct tie-ins? (Requiem, Rogue's Revenge, Revelations, Legion of three worlds, Superman Beyond, DCU Last will and testament)

"Superman Beyond" fits directly in during the month break between Final Crisis #3 and #4, "Revelations #1" begins just after the funeral in Final Crisis #2 and seems to occur more or less simultaneously with that issue, "Rogue's Revenge #1" appears to also be simultaneous with Final Crisis #2, before Barry Allen physically returns, "Requiem" occurs at the same time as Final Crisis #1, with a little bit in the time period of Final Crisis #2, "Last Will and Testament" simply doesn't fit, period.

When did the second Legion of 3 Worlds come out? I know it probably has but I've never seen it.

It's actually coming out next week. It seems that this one's taken a long while to come out, but maybe it's just my imagination:smile:

Thanks! I actually didn't miss it, and it is not your imagination as the issue was suppose to be out last month.

That's what I'm thinking as well. With his Submit and Superman Beyond issues placed in their correct order in regards to Final Crisis proper with the Secret Files issue being last since he's writing that as well.
I can see the Rogues issues along with the Legion issues being put together if only to flesh out an entire trade as both don't justify one by themselves.
