View Full Version : If you lead a double-life as a DC superhero, who would you most want to be ?
If you could lead a double-life as a DC superhero, which 1 or 2 ones would you (seriously or humorously) most prefer to be and please say why, as in what witty things you'd most like doing and / or getting up to as that superhero.

Seriously, I don't think doing the whole Martian Manhunter bit would be too hard with telepathy and shape-shifting abilities to augment my superheroic lifestyle, so put me down for a side order of J'onn J'onnz.
Humorously, I'd be Loose Cannon, because the concept of having literally no night life other than pounding on criminals is alright by me.

Ollie Queen, before he lost the dough!
I remember when he had the chance to get it all back in the 80's, and he turned his back on it. In one way, that's cool, but someone who has that kind of cash, with that little personal use for it, could be an amazing hero, even without the trick arrows.

Superman, he's hot and he can do pretty much anything.

Martian Manhunter, easily. I'd go from city to city telepathically forcing criminals to confess their crimes, completely under the radar through the use of shapeshifting or invisibility.

Supergirl,
Seriously, tons of money, young, good looking, super powers comparable to Superman's.
Whats not to like? Up until recently a semi lesbianic relationship with Wonder Girl.. I see nothing but pluses here. No real rogue gallery to speak of out to get me at the moment. (I'm ignoring everything after Kelly's run... it just didn't happen.)

Hal most powerfull weapon in the universe in one hand and Cowgirl in the other, plus there's the whole famous superhero/AF pilot thing too.

Ollie has had his millions back for about the last five years.
I'd be an Arrow too, archers have more fun.

My avatar suggests its answer, but I think I would like to be Batman - he's neurotic, but he's got more money.
That said, I think we've discussed the fantasy before of every high school kid who goes out to save the world after school. I think most kids would identify with Spiderman for that reason, when he was a high-school teenager.

I missed that. When did he decide to take it back?
I just remember him turning it all down in his mini, back in the 80's.

Batman. You're richer than God's accountant, can beat anyone (given prep time), and get to sleep with Catwoman.
Or Batwoman. Very similar but with less angst and you get to sleep with the Question.

Seriously? Spawn. The creature either pound's on his opponent's until their a bloody pulp, and/or then just grab's some huge-ass gun from nowhere and obliterate's his enemy with it.
* You'd get to sleep with She-Spawn.
The only real downside is the fact of having to face a sh!tload of hard-ass Demon's and monster's. Not to mention the overlord of the Eighth Plane of Hell.
Humorously?
Sam Burke, for the stand alone fact that he's a badass, yet pretty funny detective who basicly kill's his opponent with a 12- Gauge, and then act's as if he's just arrived on the scene and somebody else had killed him. [the guy who Detective Burke killed].

You had to say "superhero", didn't you?
Now, if you'd said, "DC science hero", I'd have gone with Tom Strong....

Hal Jordan - Cruisin' through the stars, hittin' all the bars, bedding hot alien women.
His day job is so damn cool too and there is that Cowgirl/Carol triangle thing.
Plus the GL ring and spiffy green underoos.

Most of the ones around my age in Young Justice and Teen Titans are dead or there best friends are.
If I can take possesian of any being who is a superhero in the modern DCU it would be Superman-Prime, he views himself as a hero, under me he would become one.

I've been lurking near chemical racks praying for lightning strikes for as long as I can remember; I definitely wanna be the Flash. It's absolute freedom, do what you want when you want with all the time you need in the world compressed into the nanoseconds it takes to get you anywhere in the world.
With GL a close second, for much the same reasons. A device that can do virtually anything you can imagine? Fly, invisible, space, you name it, it's all available to you.

Martian Manhunter easily. He is one of, IF not, the most powerful superheroes in the DCU. The only real problem is, I know I would abuse the power and get myself one of the power rings, (Prolly Yellow) simply because I would want more power and would enjoy being one of the most powerful beings in the universe.
Lobo, bah I would just throw him into a sun and leave him there to burn. Mongul, he would probably end up with the same fate after I stripped him of his ring and usurped his authority in the Yellow Corps. After that I would travel the universe.

Superman, of course. Although it would also be pretty cool to know everything and be Brainiac 5.

Oddly enough, Vixen.
Given her current powers, I can give myself the abilities of any nearby hero and I have a nice little nest egg from my days as a model.
