Wonderful to have the event covered, thank you, Dave.
Also, major credit should go to my co-chair Christine Hoff Kraemer, a graduate of my B.U. program and fellow comic book scholar-enthusiast.

Wow, that would have been a great event to attend. I didn't see any information about potential podcasts or scripts of the sessions. Might those be available in the near future?

I'm kicking myself that I missed it. I was busy with other things that weekend plus no one else I knew seemed as interested to go. Plus I felt I was lacking on some of the required reading for it. I even owned some of the books and hadn't gotten around to reading them, like Wilson's Cairo.
Heck, the bunch of ideas for comic books and comic strips / web comics. I think just about every one of them deals with religion if not has it as the main theme. Never mind religion and comics have always been interests of mine.
Anyway, it sounds like it was an amazing conference.

Unfortunately, given the shoestring budget we were on, no digital recording took place. I have posted my opening comments (http://captionbox.net/loosepages/?p=397) online at my blog, and my introduction for James Sturm should be going live, shortly. Saurav Mohapatra also wrote up his account of the weekend (http://www.mohaps.com/?p=95), too.
But fret not! We are currently at work on collecting all the papers and programming sessions and having them become a published anthology. More news on that as soon as I am allowed to share.
