I'm loving the Incredible Hercules series. I've recently picked up the Hercules: Heart of Chaos mini from several years ago and have the TPB of Hercules : The New Labors from a year or two back.
What other significant Herc stories or issues should I check out? Yes I know of Prince of Power by Layton, but I'm waiting to see if a new trade comes out on it and I'm going to get the WWH - Incredible Herc TPB in a couple of weeks of Hulk 106-111. But what else to read about on Herc?
Thanks,
Vic

Have you tried the Champions Classic trades? Herc is one of the central figures.
I always loved Hercules from the Roger Stern John Buscema era Avengers. Somewhere in the 200s.

Champions 1-17
Thor 220s were good reads
Thor 405ish-425 was fun
Incredible Hulk: Hercules Unleashed when he was at half power was a great read.
Avengers 250-285 was a great Roger Stern Run
Avengers 328-400 was pretty cool as well. It started off a little rough for Herc, but Harras got used to using him better as he went along.

As well as the above, particularly the Champions, I recommend the first Hulk/Hercules one shot by PAD, set just after Onslaught. Very good read.

If your are planning on getting the Prince of Power you should try to get the whole trilogy. Both Prince of Power minis and the Full Circle graphic novel. All together they make up a pretty cool read.

I thought the recent one-shot: Hulk vs. Hercules by Pak and van Lente was really good. It has a darker take on the character, but it was stll a pretty fun story

Yeah that was a great one shot.
Herc was also among the more better utilized characters in Civil War, he kicked alot of ass there. Greg Pak w/some help from Jeff Parker also wrote the WWH tie ins of Incredible Hulk where Hercules and his team "Cho's Renegades" pretty much react to all the stuff happening in the main WWH mini, that was good as well.

The Hercules Unleashed was good. it has been so long since I read it though I need to dig it out and see if it holds up.
I really liked the recent one-shot, but what really made it special was the first Herc and Hulk meeting reprinted in the back. I skipped right to that one.
Oh yeah I am dreaming of a big Bob Layton Hercules collected edition. I would love it in the Premiere Hard Cover format.

First off thanks for all the input! I'll be hunting some of these things down over the coming months.
I picked up the Hulk vs. Herc one-shot and really enjoyed that too.

O.k, so outside of the Hulk issues of WWH, what mini or series did Herc & "Cho's Renegades appear in? Is it collected in any of the WWH trades? I just picked up the WWH: Incredible Herc tpb.

What is a good site for a listing of Herc's appearances throughout the Marvel Universe?

I agree, he does draw a great Hulk. I think he would be recognized more if he did more. It seems like he does a little here and there and then drops off for a while. He did a nice run of the Hulk in the 90s with Peter David as writer.

The one shot was excellent. Pak wrote a great story that tied into past continuity very well. The man does his research and actually knows the character he writes. More writers, especially some of the so-called superstars, should take a hint and do what he does but I doubt they will. Their egos would only get in the way.

Too true. I just think he's awesome. DC pulled a nice move locking him up. His Hulk, even in the 90's is great. He has a gift for penciling the anatomy, but drawing it large and Hulkish, without making it look cartoonish or over-exagerated.
