Well I am. But it's online only. -_-
Oh, and I made a thread about this. (It's probably in page 3 or something)

Anyone manage to get into the early access?
I tried logging in to the game for amusements sake, and it tells me my login information is incorrect. Can't get into the forums either. :frown:
Ah well, hopefully I'll be able to get into the game tomorrow anyway.

I'm in early access. I'm level 17 after about seven hours of play. So far, I'm having a good time, although the noob experience is not exactly my cup of tea. I'll be subbing this game for a while and I am looking forward to seeing where it goes.
Like most MMOs, your initial enjoyment of Age of Conan will be heavily impacted by your experience with other games and your level of expectations.

How is the games difficulty from what you can tell?
I hope its not to easy. Thats why I liked everquest when it came out is because it wasnt to easy, it made the community work harder and everyone worked together more. People stayed in groups for like 8 hours and when you left you found a replacement. Im left world of wacraft this morning, I like the game but its so easy that no one really has to play with anyone else, so you spend time finding a group and you run a quick dungeoun or do a quick quest then the group breaks up and you have to start allover. Experince comes so easy to that it doesnt require much just killing a group. You could play to level 70 and never join a group which kind of sucks.

The less MMOs resemble Everquest, the better. That kind of soul-crushing tedium and repetition does not need to be repeated

So far, difficulty is easy and XP comes pretty quickly. Quests are difficult only if you quest above your level. (I'm level 21, btw, and only just got off the noob rock.)

Huzzah! The goofball account problems I had are cleared up! Now I just need to wait another 6 hours to get off work so I can go home and give it a try. >.<

Hey, a MMO combat system where I actually have to look at the screen and stay awake.
I'm impressed

Geez. The game took forever to install, I'd say an hour at least. And then another hour or so for updates. After all was said and done I was able to play what amounts to a slide show, graphics wise.

Well shame I cant play past the 30 day free trial, they wont take discover card and its all I have. I called them and had a talk with them and I atleast got to activate the account for 30 days since I bought the game. And bestbuy atleast gave me store credit for the game.
Im playing now and was most of last night. It seems pretty cool and the graphics are nice but its still get a quest, kill a guy, bring something back type of thing and fighting is cast some spells or use some combo keys. I guess Im tired of the same old thing, even if it is pretty to look at. But even the graphics are pretty much generic, yeah its in the conan universe but jungles, cities, people and such all have the same look like guild wars and everquest 2 and all the others had. WOW might be easy and have a lazy and d00d speaking community but atleast it had its own look and feel, alot critisize it for being to cartoony but the color usage and design makes it more unique than other games and 2 different jungles or cities look and feel different.
I guess MMORPG's are to common now, all the players in age of conan took all the fun out by comparing it to other games, talking about the game and classes and dissecting everything to take the fun out of it. No one treated the game like it was new, same old grind.
Oh well with mass effect coming out soon on pc, metal gear solid 4, the world ends with you on ds, and the fact I need to restart persona 3 since I lost track of it for awhile Ill be plenty busy till fallout 3 comes out far as new games go.

The installation and patching did take a while, but I was able to sneak all that in during early access when I couldn't play anyway. I love when the installer even says “This may take a long time.”
The gameplay started out pretty crappy for me too. After I turned the “Overall Quality” to “Low” in the Video options menu, the game ran relatively okay until I got closer to Tortage, where the lag was just brutal 80% of the time. And either it's my computer and the low settings, or there's a weird graphics glitch with the Herald of Xotli transformation too, which figures, since the HoX is the main class I want to play. >.<
Yeah I know it was launch day, and some bugginess is to be expected. I'd check the AoC forums, but... um... yeah. Doesn't seem like that'll happen any time soon.

It is annoying when players force "classes" into the Tank, Healer, Mez, and Damage roles, regardless of how much developers try to shake things up.

From a technical standpoint, my experience has been pretty good. The game runs fine on max settings with no stutter. The client is pretty much stable for me, although I did experience one lock up that required a reboot. I disliked Tortage, and the heavily-instanced new player experience, but I am enjoying the game much more since I left that area behind. The grind is standard EQ2/WoW/Vanguard fare, but the melee combat system makes it a little livelier. I'm going to sub this game and am looking forward to seeing it evolve.

Same for me. I turned everything down to low and it was OK on occassion. What really helped (relatively speaking...) was to turn off water reflections.

Loving this game so far. Playing as a Herald of Xotli on a PvP server and those guys are beasts. You can drop someone in 2 solid hits. Not sure if I wanna try a conqueror or Dark Templar next
