Was thinking about Marvel-related fights that would be awesome, but that would never actually happen in a comic... Marvel should put out a limited series, like 8 issues or so, where 2 of their heroes just fight it out.
Here are some ideas I came up with:
Sentry vs Thor - just two incredibly powerful characters duking it out. If anyone can defeat the Sentry, it's Thor.
Ghost Rider vs Scarlet Witch - but Scarlet Witch is crazy... this fight could end the world, if Ghost Rider used his Penance Stare on Wanda and made her see all of the lives she ruined with House of M, Disassembled, etc.
Daredevil vs Spiderman - fast, agile, hand to hand combat. Peter vs Matt - two close friends duking it out. We saw some of this in the Ultimate Universe, in the "Marvel Knights" arc of Ultimate Spiderman.
Shadowcat vs Iron Man - can Shadowcat last long enough to phase through Tony's armor? Would that even work against extremis?
Ghost Rider vs Doctor Strange - perhaps the most powerful demon in the Marvel Universe vs the most powerful sorcerer.
Luke Cage vs Wolverine - unbreakable skin vs adamantium claws.
Nightcrawler vs Quicksilver - teleporation vs superspeed - added bonus in that Nightcrawler's probably pissed at Quicksilver for his role in House of M.
Thor vs Iron Man - yeah, they did it already in Thor #3?, but it would still be sick.
