I don't understand all the hate for this man, what am I missing?
It seem's to me comic fans are just never satisfied.
I remember in 99 when everyone bitched and moaned about Bill Jemas being the guy running the show and how he tried to stop Marvel from making comics.period. He wanted Marvel to become like disney, toys and movies and shirt, no comics.
Then he focused on a new line of comics called the ultimate universe and everyone bitched that they werent focusing enough in the normal U (screw that 616 term)
Now here we are, years later, the focal point of Marvel is the normal U and these huge stories full of great writing and art are in place and all I hear is blah blah blha Joe Q sucks, I hate him.
Guy at the comic shop today claimed to not buy a book from marvel in "over 10 years and wouldnt till Joe Q was gone"
Why?
Why let one person kill the whole line? Why let one person affect a story being told BY A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PERSON?
That'd be like saying " Im not reading DC again till they go back to their old logo'.
Just sick of the Marvel and Joe Q bashing. They obviously own the market share FOR A REASON.
Please inform me what's with all the hate, I really want to know why so many people hate Joe Q.
And this hate was around WAAAAAY before brand new day, I'll be the first to tell you I dropped Spider-man after one more day, hey, horrible story, followed by 70's nostalgia, it's terrible, down right terrible. But hey, I can't hate a guy for one bad idea. Let's be honest, Spider-Man needed SOMETHING, this wasn't it, but at least they tried.
I just want to say Thank you to Joe Q, for making Marvel exciting. It's nice to see a story doesn't have a big happy ending everytime, it's nice to see things like civil war effecting the universe longer than the 7 issues, the arc runs.
I don't get why people complain. The place was boring before civil war and wwh, and invasion. It's nice seeing stories not be forgotten about, everyone complained about continuity, now we get it and still, people complain. The man has an impossible job. My hat's off to him.
