The coming months will test the New Warriors’ mettle and their solidarity. CBR spoke with writer Kevin Grevioux about his plans for the series, which include a two part “Secret Invasion” tie-in arc.

Love the book so far, so I'm happily on board.

That said, I wouldn't mind seeing most of the Omega Gang leave or die.

Keep Jubilee, Sofia, Chamber, Beak, and Angel. Add Justice and Rage. Just about perfect.

Wow. That's some good reporting. Because every bunch of kids standing in front of a flag is like the Nazi's. I'm glad you went to reporter school to make such brilliant deductions.

There's more to the comparison than that you realize. Especially the reason why they were started.

Likely. The way they've been playing things out I wouldn't be surprised. I just hate all reporters (liberal, conservative, moderate, or otherwise) and every time I see Sally Floyd or Ben Urich, I just.... ugh. Just die please.

People were sayinf that the first time they appeared, It was obvious. The Any means necessary bit is what makes them so familiar.

Authoritarians with no respect for the law in training. Not Nazis. Similar but not identical

i'd use the term 'ham-handed' or 'incendiary' to describe it.

Yeah, She attended the Sally Floyd school of journalism. Rule One: Say the most ignorant thing humanly possible. Rule Two: Be drunk when you say it. (She's still working on rule two.)

Yep, because The New Warrior were so popular with the German youth in the late 1930's.

Seriously, preventing delinquency with uniforms and honor codes is the reason LOTS of youth organizations were started. Lets throw the Boy Scouts and the Girl Scouts up there two, see how many people think THEY are nazi's.

"Stupid" is fewer letters. "Mind-Numbingly Moronic" is more accurate. Take your pick.

But, so many pro-regs were defending them when the first appeared::

.

Put By "any means necessary" in their Motto's/Creed and I will see your point. Otherwise the similarity stands.

why not? it's not like the kids have done anything to deserve the nazi comparison. and i'm still defending them. i think Grevioux is the one in error. he's thinking like a stupid anti-regger.

You do realize that if you feed trolls, they just live longer, right?

I think the Junior Guardsmen/Hitler Youth thing is a bit forced on Marvel's part, as an attempt to legitimize the New Warriors' position as the real "underground" against the Registration Act. Never mind, of course, that the New Avengers, one of Marvel's four premiere super-teams (alongside the Mighty Avengers, X-Men, and F4) are all ready a formal resistance movement against registration.

All misgivings aside, I have been enjoying this series and its concept. I'll be sad to see Medina go, but hopefully he can inject some enthusiasm into my reluctance for the imminent Deadpool ongoing.

I've wanted to like this series but finally gave up last month. The mystery with Night Thrasher is going on too long, I barely know who some of these characters were before M-Day, can't remember who is who now . . . I'm too stupid for this book!

Too bad about Sil not being in the story. She used to be one of my favorites from the old team and I hated seeing her fall into limbo after the series.

I have to admit that Grevioux really does know what he is talking about and he understands the position that he is in.

Also I can't wait to see the New Night Trasher question the Counter Force team over their loyalty as former members to the New Warriors.

If the original New Warriors (yeah, of course Ultragirl and Slapstick were members!) are so annoyed that the less-than-merry ex-mutants have nicked their team name, why don’t they use it when they go up against them, rather than the silly-sounding Counter Force?

I gave up on this title with issue 9, I didn't like any of the characters and the costume designs were awful! However I loved the old New Warriors and may pick up these issues depending on how much money I've got left after buying all the other SI tie-ins.

The New Avengers are less a formal resistance than they are a group of heroes trying to evade the law. It's the New Warriors who are fighting registration idealogically and in terms of public opinion. The New Avengers are just trying to get by.

Well said. Hoping to see them throw that in the New Avengers face at some point.

Yes the NA like the X-men are not fighting the SHRA just trying to doi what they do, I wouldn't call either groupPro-reg but they are not actively anti-reg.

A good "what if" would be if Tony tried to force the X-men to join the initiative, you could call it Shieldand MA , The END

Well, in addition with what's happenning with both the Warriors & the Initiative {any yes, I've been following the AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE with extremely great interest....  }; I'm hoping that the Tie-ins for SI will also answer questions regarding the rest of the missing former Warriors {besides Mickey/Turbo & Chris/Darkhawk, since their whereabouts have already been established....  }......

CTRL+F did not bring me Sofia news. LOL.

Cool interview! I'm glad he's got plans for Decibel and tying everything up and together. Hopefully repowerment is at the end of the tunnel for some of our heroes(!!!!!!).

^looks like Jono's transformation storyline will be continued in this book, I'll admit Im apprehensive about what will happen & how it will turn out. I wonder if we'll see any of clan Akkabah or Ozymandias.

also there's been a lot of hope of the New Warriors/Counter X teams merging somehow but I cant see how that could t be possible unless some members get dumped... but I dont see any hint of that happening in the interview. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
