I was wondering what you guys think about X-Force. Is it really normal for Cyclops to send such an aggressive team to do the dirty work? It really doesn't seem like he would do that... Skrull anyone?

After Messiah Complex it is completely understandable.

This belongs in the X-forums really, and there's plenty of X-Force convo over there! :)

There's an X-Books forum, by the way.

And no, he's not a Skrull. Messiah Complex was just a huge blow with all the deaths and destruction that he's chosen to be more pro-active in dealing with enemies who have done such serious damage. Is it the right choice, who can say at this point. We know he's trying to keep X-Force's existance and it's mission from the X-Men who might not be happy by the this turn. Basically, he's more like Xavier than he'd care to admit. But Scott's sick of waiting for them to come calling and kill more innocents so took the fight to them on their terms. The Purifiers actions during and before Messiah Complex pretty much sealed their fates.

It's telling that comic fans are more willing to accept "He's been replaced by an alien" than "He changed his mind about something."

Yeah, that some readers are unable to cope with changes.

I'm one of them readers that actually find the current Cyclops interesting and understand how he got there. Not all readers are disliking this direction.
