View Full Version : What ever happened to Colossus' son Peter?

I know he had a kid in the Savage land, but what happened to him? Does he have powers, has he ever been in anything?

I think the only time he appeared was in UXM Annual 12. Colossus met him but didn't know the truth of his paternity cause the mother didn't want to tell him because she didn't want to disrupt his life, although she secretly wanted him to come live with them in the Savage Land. The son was still young when we saw him and hadn't hit adolescense, so he had no powers, but he could have possibly developed them later on. But with M-Day having removed the X-gene from people except the 198, I doubt he ever will now.

Feel free in the future to ask questions like this in the "Questions" thread toward the top of the page.

And for the record, if you really want to learn more about this sort of thing and the X-Men, do a search for the "Worst X-Parent" thread. There's a lot of deadbeat moms and dads among Marvel's mutants. And some who would be better off not being around at all...

its still a chance the boy might be a mutant, M-Day removed the X-gene true, but Cerebra only detects activated X-Genes. So the young boy might still have the potential to grow up and be a mutant, however he is still only a kid and I fear we will all be in our graves before Marvels time line progresses far enough ahead for us to see the developments of that child. (should any future writers even remember this.)

hey, let's make Colossus a deadbeat dad. boy was that ever a stupid idea.

You can't be a deadbeat dad if you don't even know you have a kid.

Piotr would probably have dropped everything to stay with Nereel and raise the child.

If He'd known.

This happened long before Colossus met Kitty. It took place in a backup story in a Classic X-Men issue, but I can't recall which one. Timeline wise, it took place around the 110's of UXM I think. It was the 2nd Generation X-men's first time visiting the Savage Land after they fought Magneto and were to have believed to be dead by Phoenix, Xavier, and Beast. If I recall correctly, the issue implied that he did it with more than one girl. It might've been a menage a trois  . His virginty disappeared for sure though.

Either that, or she thought he might "fastball special" the baby as a game, and accidentally kill it.

Nereel's Savage land tribe reside on a giant ship that traverses space and time (yes, you read that correctly) so little Petey may have been outside of Wanda's power range when the M event occurred

In fact, in that issue two hot fall people girls offered him and Wolverine a orgy all together... I never ever knew how did it go through the editors... Not that I have a problem with that

It was his very first time with a woman...

The alien woman, Zsaji, was killed at the end of secret wars... But it was implied that he only dated her because was afraid of how much loved Katya, and also of her friendship with Doug Ramsey

By the way, one of my favourites "X-Men Romance Sequences" comes from that era... When Kitty Pryde is leaving the X-Men to think about her live, and, in four panels, each one smaller, she tells to Punk-Mohawk-Storm "I hate him! I Hate HIM!... silence... I love him"

Awwww poor kitty... that was just before se went to Japan with Wolverine to become ninja-shadowcat...

He also showed for 2-3 issues around Uncanny X-Men #250. Right before Acts of Vengeance but after the 'death' of Storm. He could still be a mutant. It was revealed that there were more than 198 mutants (300 I think?) in....well I forgot which series but I believe it was either New Warriors or Avengers The Initiative.

The X-Men certainly treat the Savage Land like it's their little getaway place that they never discuss in polite conversation. Has anyone on the team not gotten laid while down there?

What? Not sure if you're joking around but the only ones that I know of are Logan and Peter. Are there others that have gotten laid by a Savage Land native? Maybe theres some type of Savage Land fetish going around the X-Mansion.

As I recall, Wolverine declined because he was sewing his costume back together. That's right, he said no to a mohawked primitive girl orgy to sew.

It happened in Uncanny X-Men #114-116 as only hints when two Fall People wanted to "play" with Peter; Wolverine was invited, but he did not join them. From this union, Peter's son was born. More of this story is shown in deeper hints with Classic X-Men #21 after Colossus saves the two Fall People women from a carnosaur.

Nereel is later revealed to be the woman he slept with & had a child, Peter, in Uncanny X-Men Annual #12.

Rogue and Magneto also got a bit swoony thanks to all that musky dinosaur air but I don't think anything ever came of that. I thought Kurt managed to have a fling while there but after checking the summary over at uncannyxmen.net it seems that in the story I was thinking of he was actually on a boat heading back from the Savage Land and just happened to wash up on an island populated by a volcano worshiping ooga-booga tribe. There seem to be a lot of tropical death-traps floating around Marvel comics.

Heh, I'd forgotten about that. Prof X, Beast & Jeanix thought the X-Men were dead, and the X-Men thought Jeanix & Beast were dead.

I really enjoyed that arc, and I thank you for refreshing my memory of it.

I don't think he knows about it. He was well out of the Savage Land by the time it was born... unless his heigtened senses are enough to detect a woman being pregnant.

He can, but I'm not sure if he can detect it that early. Heck I doubt she was even pregnant that early.

I remember hearing that inn an old story before Logan became Wolverine he was a Canadian government agent captured by Baron Von Strucker, and then subsequently rescued by Spider-Man's parents. Logan smelled that Mary Parker was pregnant and congratulated her before the couple found out themselves.

Logan's kid was hinted at the end of Wolverine: The Jungle Adventure. It was a one-shot written by Walt Simonson, with art by Mike Mignola. And yes it was as awesome as a book by those two should be.

Logan, after being attacked by a cyborg, traced the assailant by smell to the Savage Land. He met up with a local tribe who proclaimed him their god, The Son of Heaven(he flew in on an ultralight, which they assumed was his godly chariot or somesuch). The tribe's leader, a Big Barda proportioned woman named Ghack, became his lover during his stay, where he discovered the mystery of the Savage Land cyborg led to Apocalypse.

End of the issue we see Ghack holding a baby in her arms, some time after Logan left to return to civilization.

Presumably. Although didn't Nereel tell Colossus something along the lines of "He's called Peter, after his father"? The tin man must be dumber than a box of rocks that failed dumb-rock school if he didn't catch onto that...

Colossus is not dumb, but some people need to have certain things spelled out for them to connect the dots. I think Peter is one of these people.

Well, I also love Colossus, but come on, a boy half fall people, half white? Called Peter? uh?

Also, last time I saw the boy and Nereel (I was always very fond of Nereel, I do not know exactly why) they were living above a super-sized flying transdimensional dog (ahem). Did they ever come back?

Mmm... I did not remember that part of the annual... thanks

Well, I guess that if Genext has some success we may see the boy again in 616

And I really really want GNext to be good, because I love the old Claremont books... but I do not like how the previews look...

Apparently the previews are wrongish since GN is supposedly going to se a sequal to X-Men:The End.

That said, Colossus' son would be a neat addition to 616 at the very least it would give him some family since essentially everyone else is gone.

Nah, Rasputin family is sorta cyclical, they are always dying and coming back... Illyana is coming this summer and Mihail has been resurrected more often than Jean Grey
