Hulk question

Question.

I'm not a hardcore Hulk fan...but I did some reading on the whole World War Hulk Storyline. (thanks to wikipedia) My question is, which "Hulk" is he throughout the storyline.

I thought the Illuminati sent the savage hulk away into the other planet?...But when he comes back, not only does he become a gladiator, but he becomes a king, has a wife and becomes we versed in weaponry.

Did the savage hulk learn this? or no?

I do plan on reading this once the graphic novel is out...but I'd appreciate it if someone would clear this up for me?

Over the years, the Hulk has had various levels of intelligence from the full mind of Banner being in the Hulk's body to being little more than a child with incredible rage and strength.

You will want to start with Prelude to Planet Hulk. The Hulk that was sent into space was intelligent even if not necessarily on Banner's level. I had not been following Hulk closely (really, not at all) prior to Planet Hulk but from the prelude, it appeared that it was a highly intelligent Hulk. At least of normal IQ and intelligence but probably moreso.

The Hulk that went through Planet Hulk was a rather complex character but one that was a completely different individual than Bruce Banner. That same Hulk was the one that appeared in WWH.

Could anyone tell me if the Hulk has ever had his head cut off???and if so did he grow a new head or did he just get his head put it back in its place and good as new or could this actually kill him??

I finished Planet Hulk,WWH and everything.

If i want to catch up the latest Hulk stories is it Herc series and Red Hulk ?

I will read Herc because i liked Hercules alot from WWH, i thought he was a joke version of the god before the event.....

Hope the interesting Amadeus Cho is still one of the main characters in Herc series.


What does Pak write now ? Only Herc ? Dont really understand why they waste Hulk on Loeb and Mccartooney instead of the team that made Planet Hulk and WWH awesome.....

Amadeus is still alongside Herc and Pak still writes the book great. It's now centered around the Secret Invasion event which is occurring around the MU.

Hulk related material is everywhere lately, from Marvel Adventures to his own book which resolves around the Red Hulk mystery. You can also pick up Skaar: Son of Hulk which is starting a little slow, but hey; so did Planet Hulk. There's also She-Hulk, which PAD is doing an excellent job writing while forcing alot of his earlier detractors on this board to eat crow (jab!).

As for why Marvel put Loeb and Mcguiness on the project, look at it this way. - It's solicited as a "SMASH FEST!" and that's pretty much what it's been. Not much dialogue, just alot of hitting between Hulk-like beings, which sounds like the basis for a lot of detractors of the book claiming "poor writing". As a company however, the book sells so until that changes Marvel probably feels like the majority of consumers support the current team.

Why would you take the WWH team off the book? I'd guess it's to spread your talent out there and give some other characters a chance to shine; which appears to be working. Incredible Herc has gotten awesome reviews and the many seem to love the book. As a company, Marvel definitely doesnt want to put all it's eggs in one basket (See DC - Batman, Superman). I THINK that Gary Frank was doing pencils for Hulk during WWH, but dont quote me on that. Not sure what he's working on currently, but next to Dale Keown, he draws the Hulk the best I've ever seen.

Son of Hulk is a mini only ? Finishing WWH last night, i was most excited about who and what Son of Hulk is.

Gary Franks Hulk was nice, i liked John Romita jr one most cause how he drew best the body,action of Hulk. Face wise i like Frank and whoever drew Planet Hulk. Was it Pagu something guy ?


I wanted to read more about what happens to Hulk and Warbound. Red Hulk i saw seems only hulk smash.

I was hoping for Pak to write more awesome Hulk. Its a pure waste to let hm write only Herc.

Mcguiness is a big letdown after Romita,Frank and every other artist from Planet Hulk,WWH Hulk comics.

I feel like they should let Loeb and Mc have some mini or other Hulk and Pak the main Hulk.

For the first time i love reading Hulk and i cant seem to finding him now except reading Red Hulk which is brain dead Hulk smash.....

If you're looking for character development, I'd say the best stop would be She Hulk. PAD seems to be going about her in the same fashion he approached the Hulk successfully way back in the day. I'd say Incredible Herc, but while Pak's trying his best, Cho and Hercs character development arent progressing as fast as it was prior to SI. Not that there's anything wrong with that, considering they are involved in SI at all, I half way expect it to put a hold on things rather than fore-go the story.

Im a fan of PAD after X-Factor but She-Hulk is too much for me. I dont like seeing a spin off of Hulk. IMO there should be only one Hulk. Thats why i have stayed away from her. I will try now because its PAD.


I hope SI doesnt take too much issues of Herc, after WWH i want to get know Cho,Herc and other characters in stories about Herc or Hulk not waste my money on some event i dont care about. I want stories contained in the title, not world shattering event yet again....

How is Marvel Adventures Hulk wise ? I dont care about continuity, i just want some interesting Hulk stories or some fun ones.

Hang in there for Incredible Herc dude. The cover from the Solicitations thread looks AWESOME. Herc vs Namor! Now that's a good fight for both characters. After that, I say why not kick off Juggernauts decent back into evil with an all out battle between he and Herc?

I don't follow Marvel Adventures, I think it's just old-school style Hulk... like a different episode with no real events in continuity.

Yeah hulk is the strongest. He kicked Galactus & the Beyonder who is billion’s of time’s Galactus in power. So i dont know a more stronger hulk then this.
