This was at Wizard. I am very surprised that a creator is willing to handle this subject. Shows he has a lot of balls and vision. Too bad not all the art is original, but its a cool ad. I really hope they do explain what happened to Black Heart and how Mephisto just happen to come back.

Who's the guy on the extreme left? Dan Ketch?

Yup.
Dan Ketch (well...NOBLE KALE, really).
Just in case anyone doesn't know the whole (messed up) history,
NOBEL KALE is the "first" person who was possessed by the Spirit of Vengeance, and is an ancestor to JENNIFER KALE (the sorceress that originated in the old MAN-THING series, and who used to appear in the latter issues of the previous Dan Ketch Ghost Rider series), thusly making Jennifer Kale, Dan Ketch and Johnny Blaze (and Officer "VENGEANCE" Badalino - anyone remember HIM?) all related.
Anyway, Dan Ketch went to hell to fight Blackheart (or something, I can't recall it all now) and during his ordeal the spirit of his ancestor (NOBEL KALE) rose to the surface and took over.
At the end of the series, Nobel stayed in Hell (as it's ruler) after he defeated Blackheart and Dan came back to Earth to resume his normal life.
Then the series ended and no one knows WHAT happened in the interim.
This story shows me that Marvel is actually encouraging a RETURN to continuity usage in their stories (a lot of recent titles are doing so lately, so it seems to be a new focus at Marvel).
We'll see.

I believe it is Dan Ketch who returns. I seem to recall reading somewhere (wish I could recall where) that he was returning. I hate that they throw Mephisto up there to get the Spidey fans intrigued. Marvel knows everyone will be looking to see where Mephisto appears next.

Dan went to save his mom's soul if i recall correctly. its been a while. Noble Kale is tricked by blackheart to give up the ghost rider look, kale figures it out and kills black heart, Rider is revealed to be the angel of death.
Dan awakens on earth just fine, no GR powers. How blaze got it back is the messed up part.
I vote for Blackheart to return.

Could be Blackheart, I dont really see why Dan would make GR life "hell on Earth".

I hate Mephisto. Get ready Ghost Rider fans, your favorite character is about to get ret-conned straight to hell!!Yes, because Mephisto serves no other function in Ghost Rider stories.
I mean, I get that the whole Spider-Man thing is still pretty raw, but bitching about it in completely unrelated contexts comes off as petulant.

Even though it was seemingly a one time deal, Mephisto's use in Spider-Man really soured me on the character and same for Hudlin's Black Panther. The character is just going to carry around that "stain" if you will, at least for a while as far as I'm concerned.
I don't think it's too surprising or petulant, people will naturally be skeptical next time they use Mephisto even if he was a vital part of the Ghost Rider world.

I can see losing affection for or losing interest in a character, sure. Even coming to hate that character. But that's not the same as using any appearance of said character, no matter how unrelated it may be, as a platform for making attacks on the story you disliked.

Sounds like they are making Johnny Blaze the classic hero and Peter Parker is the satanic Hell-boy now.
That is wrong.
I wonder where Danny Ketch has been.

It was a joke. You should lighten up. I thought the "straight to hell" line made it obvious. Believe it or not most of us aren't concerned with Spider-Man, we're not out here conspiring against you.

Yes, Mephisto has FAR more history with GR then he does Spider-man. Anyway, it has to be Dan Ketch. Although, I hope Mephisto and Blackheart also show up.

I don't mind it. GR needs a gimmick to catch reader attention after the mess that was revelations.
Hell, as much as I despise the concept, I hope they give GR a SI tie in issue just to boost sales.

Yes, I also think that Revelations was boring as hell, though Way's run wasn't so bad. It just was nothing special, average to boring. But Aaron's story so far seems really great! Now that I think about it, if it's all three it would be awesome! Though does anyone remember a similar advertisement about Spider-Man and one more day? Apparently no one from the guys that showed appeared...

That's kinda how I feel about Way's run. Nothing horrible until Revelations which was a horrible dissapointment.
Anyway, it has to be Dan Ketch. There's no doubt in my mind.

yep but Aaron is making me like the new puppet master of GR
He seems more hands on then Big M ( or he could be Metphesto in disguise)

So, judging from #22, I guess the "mystery man" is Dan Ketch. This is so exciting!!!!!! Am I the only sure about this? Do you think there will be a clash of the Ghost Riders, and why and how Dan is working for Zadkiel? There is also the confusing appearance in Peter Parker #93, does anyone thing Aaron will try to explain anything?
