Mini Marvels! Mini Marvels!

We need more Mini Marvels.

And I will happily buy into it.

Hahaha Elephant Steve (is he an actual Marvel character or just someone they made up for the strip?)

This is awesome! Does anyone know if this a reprint of previous stuff? Is it all new stuff? Is it a mix of both?

It’s about freaking time! Hopefully Marvel will print more than five copies this time.

I recognize some of the preview pages from past works, so I don't think it's all new, but at the same time, there are also some strips that I haven't seen before. My guess though, would be that it's probably just reprints gathered together.

ok they are just awesome. I really enjoyed every one of those little strips! I think i read one with Namor in it, which was excellent. The world needs more Namor, and more Elephant Steve.

Elephant Steve is the best new Avenger character (not to be confused with New Avengers character) that they're introduced in decades!

I went and pre-ordered my copy.

According to Giarusso's blog (http://www.chrisgcomics.com/newspages/?p=422), if you wait in the hopes that your LCS will get one in on their own and they don't, you'll miss out.

It seems that Marvel's only printing these to order, which strikes me as silly and short-sighted, considering the combined all-ages/nostalgia appeal of the Mini-Marvels.

There's also a new interview with Chris G. (http://www.comicbookgazette.com/interviews.htm#194355473) at The Comic Book Gazette, with a few more details on exactly what's inside the digest.

Can't wait to get mine!

I'm for a Mini-Marvels/Fin Fang Four anthology title, myself. That way, we get double the goodness in monthly doses without oversaturating the market with full issues of either. Heck, you could even throw in the Franklin Richards stories and it would work for me.

congrats to chris, i read rps was sold out. i got the second print cover, the wolverine one (though i wanted the one with spidey and the other heroes).

i really loved it, but i had a minor complaint: in the cbr article, it had strips of wolvie scratching the thing's back and the hulk smashing some furniture, but i didnt see this in the digest.

chris hope u are reading this, nice work. hope tehre will be a volume 2 digest

Good to hear it sold out, although it may not necessarily mean much if it was only print-to-order.

Can't understand why more people don't enjoy Mini-Marvels myself, especially in light of how dark the MU is these days.

^ what print did you get? the spidey and the other heroes cover? did it have the missing strips that i mentioned was missing in the second print (the one with the wolvie cover)?

The first print did not have the stories you mention.

I know I've read them before, so they're somewhere in comics I've read, but they haven't been included in any of the collected volumes.

^ thanks. i knew it! the thing-wolvie and hulk-smashing the couch was not in this digest, although they showed it in the article. wonder what happened.
