I was reading NYCC posts where they mentioned that people love Deathlok, but besides the New Avengers Cameo where he was supposedly "destroyed" There has been rarely an appearance from my favorite cyborg.
Anyone know of any upcoming plans/projects featuring Deathlok?

According to Axel Alonso at NYCC, there are plans for Deathlok, so keep an eye out.

Which one? As far as I know, they are ALL still out there somewhere. There's like four of them, right?

Deathlok the Demolisher (Luther Manning) from an alternate future - still active as the Demolisher, last seen on Earth-616.

Deathlok (Mike Collins) - last seen in FF
Deathlok (M-Tech) - formerly inhabited by the mind of Jack Truman, currently inhabited by the mind of Larry Young
plus various Deathlok-lookalike robots based on the original's design, encountered by the likes of the Thing,

plus the Luther Manning of Earth-616 who got turned into a Deathlok before dying

So yes, quite a few, though all the 616 ones came into existence as a result of the original visiting 616. And yes, the first 3 at least are still alive and potentially active.

I forgot about all of those.
Collins is the real deal for me.
yeah, I heard of the plans, but I thought there were still some copyright issues to sort out of something. or maybe that's just for him to be in a movie?

I've only read the same article as you, but I hope that it does happen. There were rumours of a MAX title a couple of years ago, but nothing ever appeared.
As for which Deathlok, my favourite is the Luther Manning version, particularly after his appearances in Paradise X. Although to be honest, as long as he made guest apperances I would be happy if any potential series featured any of the previous Deathloks.

Joel Carroll did an awesome "CapLOK", which can be seen at his blog:

I wish Remender and Opena would do a Deathlok book. That would be awesome.

My personal opinion has always been that I thought Deathlok would make an awesome film, perhaps moreso than a comic. I know that probably doesn't make sense, but think about it. Wouldn't that rock?
I like Deathlok, I'm not saying anything bad by that, I just this vision in my head, it'd be a cool flick.
I'm really only familiar with the original version from the 70's, but I'm catching up. Thanks for the info and links.

I've never really been a fan of any version of Deathlok other than the original. I'd love for Marvel to reprint the Luther Manning stories from the 70's.

Been following this Thread all weekend and really appreciate the feedback!
I have all the actual Deahtlok series, plus his first appearances, and his Cap/Deathlok Lives trade.
Is there any comprehensive list out there of all his appearances?

If you follow the links in Loki's post you should find a list of appearances of each Deathlok, they seem to be about as exhaustive as possible.

Would it be too similar to the current Nova series, where the Worldmind talks to Rich. I remember the computer in Deathlok's head always telling Manning what to do and when he does the wrong thing.

The thing about that, though, is why would anyone create a cyborg with breasts? They're useless and get in the way. And, well, what's the fun in a female character without breasts?
