So, went to a thing at the Monster's school tonight - Family Reading Night. The story of the evening was If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, by Laura Numeroff. Now, for those of you not familiar with the Mouse, the story goes that if you give a mouse a cookie, he's going to ask for a glass of milk. The mouse then proceeds to ask for a progression of other things, which leads back to him asking for a glass of milk and surprise! a cookie to go with it.

That being said, one of the activities was for the kids to write their own story starting with the above sentence. I thought it would be fun to do that here and see what you guys came up with.

My favorite that I thought of was:

If you give a monkey a typewriter, then he will ask for the Cliff's Notes to Hamlet.
