Why did you kill us is probably the best of all questions.
And Genosha kinda breaks my heart everytime.

Looking forward to this. Legacy is going great, I'm really liking Omega Sentinel in it and hope to see a lot more Magneto.
Rogue, Iceman, and Cannonball... feel free to join up anytime!
It looks good.
I don't feel sorry for Magneto often.

A Danger appearance is always serious blah. But the rest of the issue looks great.

You know, sometimes, sometimes when Land isn't tracing, he's not a bad artist.

LOL I like how Professor X is like, "you talkin' to me???"
P.S. I like Land's work here.

Agreed, I love how it ties everything together.
Magneto felt awkward for me... but I guess that's the way it should be.

It all feels so blasphemous though.. why are all these peeps trying to kill Magneto! THEY NEED TO CHILL.
Also I need to see some Frenzy in this issue or else I will write Carey some strongly worded letters

The fight is pretty cool but I re-realized why I hate telepaths.
Its like the only things that can even cause Exodus to whimper is dust allergens. WTFever to him.

Amelia Vought needs to whack Xavier on the head with a frying pan and save Exodus before he's killed or mind wiped. :frown:

Professor X is a jerk!
They should add that on the last panel of the first page. It goes great with Xavier's "wha-huh?" face.
The hate for Prof X grows !

When Magneto tells Omega Sentinel that X and Exodus are fighting telepathically, I was reminded of Will Ferrel in Zoolander saying "They're breakdance fighting."

This issue is going to establish that Charles has big psychic cojones? I am unimpressed. Sage is also telepathic again. Charles is no longer needed.

That's Land? For a while there -and because I wasn't paying attention- I thought it was Billy Tan.
I like the homage pages to the Sentinels' first appearance, with their golden yellow faces and original colouring. They don't even look too campy, for early-60s robots.
And if this issue will feature images of the original Hellfire Club, DDM should be pleased.

How in the world could you confused Greg Land Arts with that of Billy Tan's ??? I would have said it looked more like John Cassady was drawing the flashbacks.
This is my second fav out of all the X-Books right now, loving it. Exodus and Charles duking it out, I wish Charles would develop Telekinetic powers like ULT Charles, but maybe on a Jean level, but oh well .

If I am not wrong, more than a homage, that particular scene of the public debate in TV happened baaaaack in the day, the very first time the sentinels appeared... In the golden age... I think the X-men (then the O5) defeated them using some sort of goldenagish trick to defeat giant robots... But my memory is cloudy, I can not even find that old numers

Maybe they'll finally explain and make sense of how a few Sentinels managed to sneak up on one of the most advanced nations on the planet, and kill everyone before anyone managed to react.
Or at least show us where Exodus and the Acolytes were to have dodged that bullet. He has to consider that one of his own failures as much as one of Xavier's.
Still don't like seeing Magneto fighting the Acolytes, and hoping everyone walks away alive. Or if someone HAS to die, it's just Random.

Dude, I will be pleased. Just in time for Hellfire Club Month in MAY!Heh, you'd think they were planning this.[b] How in the world could you confused Greg Land Arts with that of Billy Tan's ??? I would have said it looked more like John Cassady was drawing the flashbacks.Well, I did say I was embarrassed. I think it was because of Professor X's bulgy eyes at the bottom of the first page. Reminded me a lot of Xavier's baffled expression in an issue Rise and Fall.If I am not wrong, more than a homage, that particular scene of the public debate in TV happened baaaaack in the day, the very first time the sentinels appeared... In the golden age... I think the X-men (then the O5) defeated them using some sort of goldenagish trick to defeat giant robots... But my memory is cloudy, I can not even find that old numersYes, 'homage' was a poor choice for a word on my part... but it's so rare that they show the original Sentinel design.
And you're right, they used a big pink crystal to disrupt the Sentinels' radio transmitters (because Sentinels were radio-controlled back in the day  ).
Looks great and I love Danger. Take that hater!
I need my hellfire club preview images.

Xavier rocks. Although reacting to Exodus' flashbacks =/= fighting.

I am really trying hard to like this book. But it has too much Exodus and Acolytes for my taste. They just don't interest me.
I do love Xavier so I am interested in his story. I just keep losing interest with every issue.

Are you serious, damn ??? I think Mike Carey is doing an absolute perfect job with the X-Men Mythos, this is crazy so much history to work with and he is weaving it meticulously. Love it

That's Land? For a while there -and because I wasn't paying attention- I thought it was Billy Tan.
I was thinking it was Land at first, then Tan, then Land again. Like Land was only doing flashbacks. (Some key distinguishing factors are the fires in the flashbacks--very Landian--and the way the faces of characters are depicted in the present--very much like Tan.)
And then the preview tells me Eaton's on art.
So, I really don't know.
Looks, nice, though.

I think it was originally only slated for 12 issues, but I believe they're planning on continuing with it next year.
This is what he said on his forum:
because of how the story mechanics play out, it's not likely that Rogue and Magneto will meet on-panel. Each arc of Legacy takes Xavier to a new location and has him interacting with a different group of characters, so 2008 won't see many meetings between the other members of the book's cast. 2009, though - - that's something else entirely. :)

Makes me think he's planning his story arcs into next year at any rate.

Yeah but none of us saw Legacy coming a year and a half ago. Personally, I think Carey was given the opportunity to revamp adjectiveless during that writers conference and he took it. So who knows what will happen between now and then.
It's a shame Legacy isn't biweekly, cause I'm already getting tired of this "thinking man's" storyline.
