View Full Version : How would you like to see SI end?

It's way too soon I know, but what would you like to see happen at the end of Secret Invasion? What do you think could/might happen, what do you think will happen that you don't want to. Which character would you want to see being a fake with their early counter part being the real person? What do you think is a possible new book to come out of this whole event?
What I have been thinking about a lot lately is that I would kind of like to see the Skrulls "win" a bit. I'm not talking about enslaving mankind, but I would like to see the Skrulls come out on top a little, get something out of all this planning and hard work they put into this very damn well crafted invasion. They have been misunderstood and mistreated since the very start since their first interactions with the kree to kree/skrull war, and the illuminati "intervention" was uncalled for.
With the Skrulls believing that Earth is theirs 100 percent, and this comes from their religious beliefes (and in the real world fighting is still going on over ownership of land because of religion) I don't see the Skrulls giving up till they get what they want.
So I think the U.N. should give the Skrulls a seat at the U.N. to tie them over and keep them busy for a while to settle things down. Maybe even give them their own country like what was done with Magneto and Genosha. Far fetched I know, but I could happen.
After SI, i'd like to see a Skrull book that focuses on either a single Skrull (or a squad) that stayed/ left behind on Earth and is conflicted on wheather to help earthlings or try to keep the invasion going.

i'd like to see hammer and skrull heads meeting many times and when thor's tired he should call beta ray bill to hit some more skrulls with hammers i call it the hammer tag team .
and mocking bird playing a role in the end

The main two things I'd like to see are Nick Fury fixing SHIELD, preferably in his own series, and Iron Man finally having all that bad karma he's been building up catch up to him. That's about it. Maybe Captain America miraculously returning from the grave to save the day in appropriate dramatic fashion. Also, something I definitely wanna see during SI is the several Skrull and Skrull-related heroes on Earth actually defend it as turncoats to their Empire. Interested to see what Kree characters might get in the mix too.

Sentry should either be dead or completely insane and a bad guy.
I would like to be able to enjoy more of Nick Fury. Mighty Avengers this week was so bad ass.

With a huge dance and song by all the players from the event, with special guest The Ghost of Frank Sinatra.

Current Spiderman is a Skrull and we find out he was replaced right before that stupid deal with Mephisto.

You forgot this is Iron Man's year. Cap has his turn next year or 2010.

With some stability. The whole MU has been in a state of flux since Disassembled. Let's calm things down and start again.

All the Sleeper Skrulls decide they like being heroes.
So they move to Counter Earth and take up the same roles. Then Marvel Launches a line of Counter Earth books featuring the 70's/80's era versions of the heroes. A win win for everyone.

I think offering up Counter Earth would be perfect, at least that way it's going to be used in a more continuous fashion.

Similarly, I'd actually like to see some Skrull-related heroes on Earth turncoat against Earth for their empire. I'm looking at you, Xavin.

Luke Cage with the power Cosmic.
This.
Also I approve of Nick Fury saving the day and for the story not to end with some silly twist like Nick being a skrull the whole time.

It has been a great build-up for Iron Man, but it's time for him to rebuild. His vast Stark empire is gone, and he has to start anew. Bring him back to the level of the normal superhero. Fury is reinstated, the Skrulls are flushed out.
But I do think I'd like for the Skrulls to win, or at least come to a stalemate. Have them take over regions of Earth like, say, Latveria. Then Doom has something to do with his time.

I still think it'd be more intesting if the skrulls did win, threw a lot of the heroes into 42 and we could have a year or so of the heroes that are left fighting as an underground unit, much like the original Guardian's of the Galaxy.

Definitely.
Also, the return of Jean Grey, but the story has to be well written. I don't want her back, just for the sake of bringing her back.

This is starting to sound less like a SI Conclusion thread and more like a MU Wish List.

I would hope Jean Grey is not a Skrull. After all, that'd be a huge surprise to the White Hot Room and the other Phoenix Essences.

I'm hoping for either massive human win or massive human loss. Either make us feel really, really good or really, really bad. There have been too many morally ambiguous crossovers in a row. Which I actually kind of like, but it's time for something bombastic.

I just hope the skrulls aren't used as pure fodder in all the other titles.
From what I've seen of many covers and issues, alot of skrulls are going to get their asses killed or beat down hard. I really want to see them step up their game after SI #1 and just unleash hell because other than infiltration and some Super Skrull/tech stuff we haven't seen them pull their trump card yet.

Counter -Earth is good, too bad Millar's FF stuff won't run with it because NU-Earth would be a nice place to relocate 'em, the way it's being touted they might not even know they AREN'T on Earth, until they spot the 'Made in China' stickers on everything :)
I would like to see the Sentry make some great sacrifice and be depowered in the end, be a hero AND go away. I'm pretty happy with having ANYTHING that'll have lasting implications in the MU so whomever gets the living retcon kicked out of them I'll be happy with.
I DON'T want this to just bleed into the next event for next year, so I ultimately want resolution. No More Events
