Gail mentioned in an interview at NYCC that she would love to write Captain Marvel. So here's the question, and Gail you are more than welcome to answer this question, how likely is it that Gail will get to write The World's Mightiest Mortal?

In his own series, or as a guest-appearance in another book?
I'd say the latter is inevitable.

My explanation that he's the daggy lookin' version of Superman wasn't good enough for the Pink One.

the multiverse is still around after Final Crisis and she has a storyline set on Earth-5. Right now in the regular DCU there is technically no Captain Marvel.
Billy stays up on the rock and the former CM jr. is now called Shazam oh and
Mary is evil, again. In other words, these are not the Marvel's you were looking for. Move along.

But they could be with Gail writing the series. Your force tactics don't work on the strong minded, so move along yourself.

And you don't even want to know about the gritty retcon they have planned for Hoppy the Marvel Bunny.

Eventually, it will happen, if only because I will never give up on the idea. When whomever is writing Cap finishes, I will always be there and one day, it will HAPPEN.

ask to write that Johnny DC Captain Marvel book. It's probably 1000 times closer to the spirit of the character than what we have right now in the DCU. If she doesn't consider that kind of thing beneath her now, that is.
