At 7 pm I will officially have two full time jobs. both are swing shift jobs and have rotating weekends. That means with the exception of this weekend when I'll be going to Missouri, I'll be working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. Add that to the fact that this is the first time in 2 and a half years that I'll be starting a new job and I'm kinda nervous. Two of my co-workers at my current job will be there. one has been there for a few months and one starts tonight as well. still. pretty unsettling. All though maybe no one there will hassle me for reading comics on break.

I hope it all goes well for you.
There's no way I could handle those kind of hours. I'd snap and go on a killing spree or something within a month. So props to you for that.

We've been expecting that from you anyway. ;)
St. Saucy, good luck!
What is the second job, though...and why are you doing such crazy hours?

Good luck on the new job!
And with keeping up with that kind of schedule, I know I couldn't handle that.

Co-workers, afterwards: "Yeah, really the only surprise was that it took this long to happen."

thanks spike, I used to work over time at my current job, I'd work like 6 days a week so this shouldn't be to bad. Basically I just need money or I wouldn't be doing this. I like staying busy and structured. Idle hands and all that.

Not sure? It's called Raxim, I'm lead to believe they do some sort of medical stuff. syringes and the like. No I won't steal any for anyone. By crazy hours do you mean the 12 hours or the alternating weekends?

You are planning on leaving co-workers to critisize your timing and talk bad about you to the press. That's rather short sited of you.

Keep an eye on yourself, Saucey. That's a helluva schedule, and good luck to you with it, but remember: when you start to feel like you're burning out, you've already burned out.

That's a very good point. I may need to reassess my strategery there.

I would have said good luck before your first night at your new job, but this server needed to a slap last night.
Anyway, I hope that everything went well last night.

Thanks all, it was really easy and thankfully I had very little interaction with other people. I packed empty maalox bottles into a box, eight across 6 deep and three layers high the whole time. 12 boxes per skid. Now obviously I won't be doing it every night but I was told thats the hardest job in the plant. Cake.
