It does look really cool. If they publish it, I'll definitely buy it.

Y'know, Jesus never would've had to suffer through nails in his feet if Rob had (not) drawn them ...

Not to mention Rob would've given Jesus a gun at least.

The intro is suh-weet! I'm buying this because I sure as hell don't wanna go to hell.

... that he would've kept in one of his innumerable pockets.

Well it seems this isn't the first time Liefeld has found Jesus.

Here's some pages from Avengelyne/Glory II: The Godyssey.

And more shown if you scroll down to the review here:

Also, note it's "by Rob Liefield with a young Ed Benes on art". Whoo.

*choke* How in the name of god (no pun intended) has this guy ever managed to make a living doing anything but ... I dunno ... mowing lawns or something? How on earth has he managed to collect incriminating pictures of all those publishers & fans?

Hasn't Jesus suffered enough? Now he's got to deal with Rob Liefeld drawing his exploits. And if I didn't already dislike him enough, I come to find out he's a holy roller in a church run by a Muslim-hating eccentric.

who has lots of pockets & no feet.

It's all becoming clear now ...

Well I do collect this kind of stuff.
I have a thing for the end of the world.

My favorite part of this graphic novel is that it's the first of 5. The first one will probly never matrialize. No less 5 volumes. This comic is just an empty threat.

I really hope this does get published. I'd love to check it out.

Why so much hate out there? I can understand not liking someone and not picking up the book because of that ... but some of you are out there hoping he fails miserably. That's a bit over the top.

"Those who ignore the past are condemned to repeat it."

Yeah, Liefeld has his fans. Lots of 'em, I gather.

And, y'know, apparently there are lots of people who like to eat dirt, too. That doesn't make it anything other than dirt. Nor does it mean there isn't, well, something seriously wrong with their sense of taste.

I really don't hate his work. Well not much. I just feel the need to point out that he's full of it. So many series the man has produced that have not gone the distance. Or much distance at all.

I am a Rob Liefeld fan! Especially the 80s. The only period I can't stand is 1996-1998 or so, the MAXXIMUM PRESS period & Captain America I didn't like those. I have both Atlantic Attacks! annuals, What If Wolverine became an agent of SHIELD and his Marvel Comics Presents issues. He just doesn't do much. So as far as sarcasm well Rob treats his fans badly so w/e.

I think this comic could work. It reminds me of this awesome 2D platform game where you're a priest with a shotgun. There was only one level set to a Fischerspooner song, the second is a subway station but it was incomplete. Rings any bells? Anyway, this comic needs a 2D platform shooter as a promo product come on.

Over the top? It's an internet message board! There is no top!!!

Plus beating on Liefield is fashionable apparently.

I don't hate Rob because it's fashionable. I hate him because his work is absolute shit. It also doesn't help that he never takes responsibility for his work either being late, or never being released at all, which is a slap in the face to his fans that actually bother to purchase his first issues. Add to that the fact that I hate Bible Belt organized religion, and this new book of his looks equivalent to a roll of Scott toilet tissue.

Now you're just being ridiculous.

Scott tissue is useful, & when I want to buy it, it's always on the shelves.

I do agree that his books have a poor record of coming out on time and/or coming out at all.

I'm not a huge Liefeld fan nor do I loathe the man's work but, I certainly wish him well (and pretty much anyone else in the comic industry, for that matter).

I hope it works out for him and hopefully he can actually commit to a book and see it through to the end.

Amen and Ditto.
