Is it possible to commit suicide in Soul Society?

Yes as far as I am aware then you pop on back to earth and do it all over again.

IIRC, existence is largely cyclical in Bleach. For the most part, you're born on Earth, in the "real world", and you eventually die one way or another. When you die, Soul Society is one of a few different places that your soul can end up in. If your soul-form 'dies' by most means, you end up reincarnated back on Earth.

So, for a large chunk of human souls, they're in an "Earth-Soul Society-Earth-Soul Society" cycle, I guess.

That being said, I don't think that Joe Average Soul up in Soul Society is aware of this - because if they are then, yeah, I imagine many would choose to commit "suicide" in medieval Japan-esque Soul Society to get reincarnated unto modern Earth with all of its comforts, technologies, and joys. :wink:

Perhaps suicide doesn't get you reincarnated to Earth, but rather someplace not so pleasant. Or it gets you reincarnated as a cockroach.

Yeah, there's a Hell in Bleach. If you're a Hollow that committed evil deeds as a human, you're sentenced to hell for eternity. Shinigami, when they "die", they simply become a mass of spirit particles, becoming one with the Soul Society/Hueco Mundo, etc presumably until they're reincarnated on Earth.

What I want to know is what happens to the souls of humans when they've been devoured by Hollows. Do they enter Soul Society after the hollow is slain and purified or do they cease to exist?
