Dark Horse the clone wars TPB

I have been reading star wars novels for a while now always liked em, was wondering if the comics were any good? I saw the CLone Wars TPB and flipped through em look ok

any one read them? can you recomend them?

Or can you recomend any start wars comic that a new guy (to the comics, not the star wars univerise) would enjoy

Well, I've got all the single issues of 'Star Wars: Republic' that are collected in those Clone Wars TPBs, so I've read them, yeah.

I personally found them very enjoyable and consistantly well written comics. In fact, they're probably some of the best Star Wars comics that Dark Horse have ever published IMHO.

Be aware though, that there's also a series of Clone Wars Adventures TPBs (in smaller digest format I believe) that feature comic strips that are written and drawn very much in the style of the Clone Wars cartoons. I've never read these but if you liked the cartoon you might wanna give 'em a try.


EDIT: As for Star Wars comics that are currently being published, I personally really like Star Wars: Rebellion which features stories that are set during the original trilogy and I absolutely love Star Wars: Dark Times which is set just after the events of Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith.

I'm also picking up Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic at the moment because there's a big cross-over called 'Vector' that will be running through all the titles during the course of the year and it begins in that title.

"The Clone Wars" comics were, as said, great. And I personally enjoyed the digest-sized series based on the cartoon.

As for the ongoing comics, I recently re-read Legacy Vol. 1 and found it much better the second time around. So I think all the ongoing comics are pretty good. Knights of the Old Republic is, in my opinion, the best. And the most like the OT. Dark Times was also very good. Rebellion and Legacy are merely good. :wink:
