Trying to get into Green lantern

So I just recieved Green lantern Rebirth, but have yet to start. I have herd great things about the series and woud like to read Sinestro Corps War next. Are there any other arcs i should read before reading the War? And what should i read after i read Sinestro?

Well Emerald Twilight might be good to read before Rebirth, but you certainly don't have to.

Rebirth is good...but much like the last issue of sinestro corps war Johns throws so much information and text at you your eyes will be bleeding by the time you finish reading it all. Saying that...they are pretty crucial for a Lantern fan

Pretty much you can start with Rebirth then get Sinestro Corps to catch up to now, also the current GL storyline "Secret Origins" is the perfect jumping point to a new GL fan which started in GL #29.

get Revengle of the GLs,Wanted Hal Jordan and then the SC stuff

Just got onboard GL myself with the Secret Origin issue. I read Rebirth over the weekend and thought it was excellent.
