How is this book, anyway?

I'm digging it so far. Phil Hester is doing a nice job starting to weave some interesting sub plots and Broussard's art is gorgeous.

BTW, off topic, but is your name Cold Contagious a reference to that awesome Bush song?

I hadn't read the Darkness since way back circa Ennis/Silvestri, but I read the free online version of the first issue of this new Darkness series and really dug the new concept and setting. I picked up the first two issues after that and had been wondering myself what was up with shipping #3. Thanks for the update, Chintzy.

Awesome. Rossdale has a new album out in June, I believe. You'll be picking it up?

Yeah, it's too bad that his last band, Institute didn't go on. I loved their stuff. Kick ass band. But yeah, solo stuff I'll be no doubt getting.

Well, #3 made the official shipping list, so it will for sure be out on April 16th.

Now I just have to find the time to get caught up enough to read #1 & #2. I've only read the First Look Preview Comic.

Yeah you really should. Hester does a great job of setting the new direction. Even if you never read the old Darkness books, you should be able jump right in to this new one.

I really, really should, especially considering I've got the series preordered through #6.

I just hope the delays aren't gonna be a constant

That seems to be a constant with the Darkness series over the years.

Fingers crossed that this time will be different.

Yeah i'm pretty sure its Broussard's art that causes the delays. Totally worth it though.
