View Full Version : Can somebody tell me if Legends is still in continuity??
I jut got me a copy of the Legends trade due to it being at an excellent price, it's importance in continuity as a nexus in the history of the DC Universe between the pre-cisis and post-crisis continuity and DC listing on it's site as being out of print.
It costed me 120 pesos here in Monterrey, Mexico wich is 12 dollars due to the import charges and I want to know if my comic is in freaking continuity.

Just enjoy it for what it is, a great series. People give Byrne a whole lot of crap, but this was around the time he was at his peak. Legends is one of my all time favorites.

The only thing I'd say isn't still in-continuity is Darkseid's comment at the beginning of the series about supressing an uprising by the Hunger Dogs. This was a reference to Kirby's Hunger Dogs graphic novel that was pretty much written out of continuity by later New Gods series.
Otherwise, I'd say everything is pretty much still in continuity. Maybe a little minor tweaking but otherwise still good. The series culminates in the formation of the Giffen/DeMatteis JLI team, which is still part of continuity.
Just enjoy it for what it is.
Oh I do, but I'm that doesn't impedes me of the right to want to know.
I think it's considerably entertaining due to it's structur and unique position but it's not great by any means.
