Hmm, I'm normally a fan of Billy Tan, but I don't like this cover. FAR too much empty sky in there, and Tony himself should be much bigger on it.

On another note, what is this- the sixth variant or something?

i'll probably pick this up, covers don't really sell me on the book anymore there are so many diffrent ones for the same story.

Really like this cover -- I like that everything's a bit off to show his motion. Nice stuff.

IIRC there are supposed be 6 covers.

Eh...that's okay.

I don't know whether to pick this book up or not. I got the first 6 issues of the current IM book. But I'm just so turned off by the character lately, even if he's being written well.

Not the best cover ive seen but Tan could definatley move away from X-men and do a title such as iron man..although the current artist on the book is a little unbeatable.

It's crazy... Let's see if I can do this from memory...

LaRocca Cover (50/50 Regular cover)
Quesada Cover (50/50 Regular cover)
Layton Cover (1:25 Variant)
Djurdovic Cover (1:25 Variant)
Tan Cover (1:25 Variant)
Movie Cover (Haven't seen or heard definitively on this one...)
WW Philadelphia Quesada Sketch Variant for advance ticket purchasers

OK hardcore collectors, have at it...

I kinda wish Tan was the artist on this title as I'm not a huge fan of Larocca but am a HUGE fan of Fraction. This would have been the perfect title had we a better artist. Oh well...

Of the three I've seen (SL, JQ and BT), they're really bland. Have the Layton and/or Marko Djurdjevic covers been revealed yet?

So they're going for the old "varient cover" trick, eh. Well, if nothing else it shows that marvel is really trying to make a strong effort to push this book... it's an artificial way to try and boost issue one sales, but at least they're trying.

On another note, what is this- the sixth variant or something?Yeah, that's what I was thinking too, but then again, the title dress will probably cover up most of the empty space anyway.

Plus, Iron Man's faceplate reminds me so much of Ultron's head now. I think it's b/c that gap for his "mouth" line is wider than usual so it looks like Ultron's mouth.

Tan's work lately has been great, this cover is very nice

but too many variants for this title. for a book that is *really* only being incarnated because of the *supposed* new audience coming in from the upcoming film, they should be making this as simple as pie.

still undecided on the title, btw. prob wont pick it up, as i've never been too interested in IM as a main character, but i did pick up Director Of SHIELD from CW to WWH, and enjoyed it.

Having so many variants is pretty retarded but it seems like a standard practice with #1 issues and many other high profile Marvel comics.

Here is the Marko Djurdjevic variant (http://uk.comics.ign.com/articles/864/864774p1.html). I think this is the best one so far.

That's a really good cover. I haven't really seen Marko draw Iron Man a lot outside of the What If Civil War cover. It's the older armor though so I'd love to see him draw the newer one.
