Hello all.

1. Someone please explain this:

2. I've noticed recently that whenever a GL is powered up, a glowing GL symbol pops up over the logo on their costume. Is there an explanation for this, or is it just an new artistic convention popularized by Van Sciver? Either way, it's cool.

1. Batman uses the ring in that issue.

2. It is just an artistic choice.

Actually, the glowing insignia is treated more as a cop's badge, these days. Trainees have the empty white circle. Officers have the insignia in the circle. And when they "light up", in action, they get the raised/holographic glowing insignia. That seems to be the conscious decision the GL creative teams are running with, to emphasise the "corps" aspect of GL lore now that it's back in force.

It's sort of neat. I think it works really well with Ethan's busy art, but I don't know if it's something I'd like to see every artist attempt to do.

I know Green Arrow struggled a great deal to use the ring during Rebirth, but I imagine Bats had a fairly easy time using the ring.

I might have to buy this issue.

As part of burying the hatchet between them, Hal has Bruce put on his ring. Which results in a hybrid costume and two GL constructs of a couple of people Bruce hasn't seen in a long time...
