Just curious with all the Winnick bashing going on, who would like to see a classical Captain Marvel in an All Star Book? Who should write it? Who should draw it? I'll go with Johns & Ross.

I'm all for it, provided that its scripted by Johns and co-written by he and Ross, who paints every panel! ;)

I'd check out a few issues. If it went the way of All-Star Superman, then sure I'd keep reading. If it went towards All-Star Batman and Robin...ehhh... not so much.

Don't care. As far as I'm concerned, Jeff Smith already did it.

I'd check that out for sure. I'm all for extending the All-Star line and Cap. Marvel is a great choice.

Yeah, Monster Society of Evil was pretty much All-Star Shazam, and it was awesome. I'd buy another mini if Jeff Smith wanted to do one. Darwyn Cooke could probably do great stuff with the character, too. Maybe John Rogers and Cameron Stewart as a darkhorse team.

I'd stay far away from a Johns/Ross series, though.

yes but that was a mini an all star shazam would be an ongoing possibly.

i would list possible guys to work on it would be
writers
johns/ross team
darwyn cooke
grant morrison
cary bates
ordway
erik larson
eliot s! maggin
or
myself (i know it's pushing it since i'm only an aspiring writer and probabbly wont get work for years but its just a longshot)

artists
darwyn cooke
ordway
scott kolins
pat ollife
or
my friend, aspiring artist and colaborator ian cambpell

I know that it was a bit self-induldgent to put ian and myself up there i even debated it but this is just a forum and there is no way at this time that i or ian would be involved in such a project this early in our careers. I just put our names up for fun.

I don't s where the Winick bashing comes into whether anyone wants to see an All Star Book, it could be published as well, it's always nice to read more classic portrayals of most characters but that doesn't mean I don't want to read the current versions as well. So I voted yes even though I like Winicks work.

It'll NEVER happen, but Alan Moore & Carlos Pacheco would rule.

didn't we already get this twice?

Alex Ross' Power of Hope and Jeff Smith's Shazam vs Monster Society.

If they're not 'all star' I don't know what is.

All Star comics aren't on-going. They're like bi-annual or something :D

They're more ongoing than a one-shot and a four issue mini series, Well maybe not always AS Batman, but AS Superman is.

version too.

Mike Wieringo would've been a great choice for artist.

Other picks specifically for an All-Star version include Jaime Hernandez ! (I totally agree with that pick) and Chris Sprouse.

I'd like to see Art Adams do some Cap too. It'd have to be a cover or one-shot because of his scheduling though.
