showcase presents

hey everybody

I´ve been away from comics for a while due to financial reasons but i still buy the occasional showcase or vertigo book.

Anyway i´m sure i read a few months ago that there would be showcases of captain carrot and the vol.2 of jonah hex but i can´t find anything at the store i normally buy them (and the guy there know nothing about comics) or in the dc site.

So have i dreamed of this? Or were they cancelled or delayed?

You dreamed it. And they were delayed or canceled. ;)



Technically, I think both are delayed. However, Jonah Hex Volume 2 has already been rescheduled. I think. I could be wrong.

No word on rescheduling the Captain Carrot Showcase, but the TPB for "Captain Carrot and the Final Ark" (next week) is supposed to include a couple of stories from the original series, including the preview that appears in New Teen Titans and the Crisis on Earth C- from #14-15.

Jonah Hex Vol. 2 was cancelled because of legal issues I believe. I suggest buying Sgt. Rock instead

IIRC DC has a window of something like 1976 to 1986 where they have to pay higher royalties for reprints so books in that window are costlier to reprint.

I think that was the issue with those volumes.

Didn't stop 'em putting out that nifty Booster Gold Showcase, picked that up this week. Neat! Just about the entire series, from what I can tell.

What I REALLY want is the Secret Society of Super Villians, but there's no indication if that will ever go back on the schedule or not.

I think Booster Gold is outside the window, but I remember Captain carrot and Jonah Hex vol 2 were inside it. This all came up months ago when they were first delayed.
