what the F**k guys? i don't wanna sound like a prick, but at a philly convention back in 2005 and the Living Corpse guys (Buz Hason and Ken Hesser) were doing badass custom sketch comic covers for anyone at the show. now marvel went off and stole that idea, first with the spider-man and now the secret invasion. if marvel is all about stealing from the little guy at least they could do is give credit where credit is due. i bet who ever purpose the idea has a custom Living Corpse sketchbook cover on their mantel.

if marvel is a respectable company they're give The Living Corpse the props it deserves!
if you're a real comic book fan, do the right thing and support the little guys who are loosing all there ideas to the corporate monsters!

i'm not the only one who noticed this injustice

I had a custom cover sketch done by Ladronn for Elephantman at WWLA back in 2003. Why are you ripping off of them?

Can anyone go further back than that? I'm sure there's something. I remember back when Howard Porter was doing JLA, he'd sketch Captain Marvel onto JLA covers for people.

EDIT: And I just remembered, the sketch Gen 13 variants. The one where it was a blank cover, with Grunge telling you to get your own cover.

How is this stealing anything?

Someone needs to put away the 'Jump to Conclusions' game mat.

How dare you rip of 1837's "The Adventures of Obadiah Oldbuck" by publishing a comic without acknowledging it!!!

first all, i ain't ripping off anyone, i'm try'n to see that hard working artist don't get shut down by a giant monster. i know arguing on a forum is pointless. but i do think that if you met the corpse guys talked to'm bout how much they love comics, drawing, and put all their heart in their comic, you'd know that marvel has an unfair advantage buy conveniently deciding do reproduce and idea that a couple of hard working indie guys are doing.

just to verify, was the sketch cover you got on a blank page designed and printed to have custom sketch on it? or was it just a sketch on a comic?

as for shit picasso, well pablo picasso was never called an asshole.

I'm all for promoting Indie comics. But this is not the smartest way to do it.
