Little bit of back story:

Less than a year ago I got my teaching credential from California. Since then I have had a time finding a job and have had to do tutoring, substitute teaching and other odd jobs. My fiance has been bringing home most of the bacon, but I have been holding my own.

The joke:

I called up my fiance and told her I received a letter stating that my credential has been revoked because I failed to find a job. (this does happen, but only after 5 years)

Her reaction:

This is worse than being knocked up. Ok lets look at this like adults, we can get through this. Oh god what are we going to do. This means you can't get a job. This is much worse than being knocked up. Hyperventilating.

The massive sigh of relief she let out when i told her April fools was fantastic.

You are soooooo going to pay for this. The fact that she didn't clock you right away only means she's planning in advance.

If I were you, I'd give up sleep right about now.

I still have over four years. I only got it 8 months ago, right after all the teaching jobs were filled. :)
